Was looking for a Shop to get my transmission fluid and filter changed on my high mileage BMW , Called around to a couple of shops and was told it would be around $550-$600 for what seemed to be a simple job. I found Getzinger Motorwerks out of the blue on Google and have been going there ever since. They are always there to help and happy to offer their advice at a moments notice. Their knowledge about European cars is very vast and their ability to work on various different European makes is a big advantage. Unlike most other European auto repair shops in Honolulu who will try to take advantage of your weakness towards European vehicles, Matt will always give you a straight answer and a honest breakdown on what your car needs and will prioritize which repairs are most important. I would recommend going there first!

It's true about the saying 'time will tell'. Matt is friendly at first, he slowly work his way to get your trust, then his true color shows. I drove my car to his shop when he told me his schedule is open for the next 3 weeks to work on it. In the next 6 months, it just parked there the whole time not getting work on. I call every week after the 4 month mark to see if its ready, he told me there's only one thing left to do and it will be ready on Friday. Nope, there's always next Friday as far as this mechanic is concerned. After he changed the fuel filter & injectors on my car, it won't even start! And this guy blamed it on me, but there's so much air bubble in the fuel line its obviously caused by his filter & injector change so the fuel can't get to the injectors. All this guy has to do is prime the fuel line, nope! This guy will brake your car to work on it, then tells you he needs to order all those parts that you don't need. Be very very careful, run if you see him, if you have absolutely no choice but to use this guy, do simple periodic maintenance like oil change or tire rotation, that's it! Don't let him do any major maintenance, he will brake your car so that he can milk you some more, and don't let his charm gets you!!!

Friendly, professional, honest, and trustworthy. I first took my BMW to GMW for an oil change a year ago, since then I've been returning to GMW for all of my car needs. Compared to other European car repair shops in the Honolulu area, their cost is very reasonable. I've been to several BMW repair shops in Ward area and either the price was to high or I just didn't feel confident with their service. If you are looking for a repair shop that is friendly, professional, honest and trustworthy, I recommend GMW.

Great work at a fair price. I neglected my car's oil leak for pretty long and the problem was worse than expected, but they took great care of me, and did not charge me for extra labor! Good experience here, I will return.

We are so very pleased with the service, quality of work, and reasonable prices with Motorwerks. Girard, the owner, and his lovely wife run the business and they are professional, caring, honest, and accommodating. We have been having our car serviced at Motorwerks for the past 7 years and could not be more pleased! If you are looking for a top-notch business that is competent, honest, and friendly you will definitely want to bring your auto to them.
