I must receive about about 70 parcels a year from different shippers and express services. DHL *almost always* manages to botch them. For example, I paid about $95 for fast international express service on a big parcel. That parcel managed to go through three international airports in just two days -- a remarkable feat -- but the local Victoria team somehow managed to miss the delivery despite that I was home all day with the front door wide open.
Part of their problem is that they sublet building space from Loomis Express (even though they are separate companies now) and they sometimes outsource deliveries to their Loomis partners. I've had to play phone tag between them and Loomis with each party denying involvement and attributing fault to the other. Absolutely terrible, just go with FedEx or Canada Post if you can.
