Staff were very friendly and accommodating in all cases.. However, the back end of the service needs some serious work.
The story begins: I was notified on Amazon of an attempted delivery for my package.
(1) However, there was no delivery slip left at my residence in West Van.
(2) I waited on the line for literally 1 hour to talk to a rep to find out where my package went and was notified that it was available for pickup in Burnaby.
(3) I went to the Burnaby office only to be notified that my package was actually at the Lonsdale location.
(4) Upon arrival to the Lonsdale location, there was a massive line of customers ahead, although the wait time for its size was reasonable at around 10 minutes.
(5) Greeted by the rep who managed to quickly find ONE out of TWO of my packages tied to the Amazon order. The tracking number provided was tied to only ONE of my items. It wasn't until I pulled up my order on Amazon to find that there was another tracking number associated with my order, to which the rep went and found it.
Long story short, this process was extremely inconvenient, inefficient, and time consuming. To iterate, all the staff were very friendly and helpful however, the back end management needs serious review.
With this volume of negative reviews and experiences, Purolator puts itself at serious risk of deterring current, and would be customers to its competitors. For your sake I highly suggest you guys do a broad assessment on your operational efficiency and management.
