I scheduled the delivery for my recliners in the afternoon (1-4pm) and confirm with Western Canada Express yesterday morning.
Surprising, Wester Canada left a voice message at 1:28 pm saying they cannot make the delivery and will try to delivery it same time tomorrow. No reason stated.
By the time they left the voice message, my partner and his friend already took half day off from work and waiting at home.
I found it very disgusting and rude that West Canada Express cancel the delivery after the possible delivery time (not even a last minute notice) and set up another time without consulting me.
I think it’s ridiculous to have my partner and friend take off for nothing, so I called Western Canada on 1:33pm and said my items supposed to be delivered today. Without any argument, the lady on the phone said ok and reassured me my things will be delivered before 3:30pm. (Thank that lady, but I’m also wondering why my delivery was rescheduled at the first place if it can be easily arranged)
I then called again at 2:33pm to follow up. It’s turned out my item is still in the warehouse. Western Canada told me they will be there between 3:30-4:00 pm.
Thank-god my things finally arrived 3:58 pm (our strata bylaw doesn’t allow elevator use for big items after pm). Originally I wanted to rate 1 star but I decided to give one more star for the fact that Western tried to make effort to meet my need.
Overall, it’s a terrible experience.
