Purolator

I ordered a package off of Amazon, and realized that the shipped was Purolator and not Canada Post. After reading these reviews I was (understandably) worried about my order. The reviews are definitely granted, but because of these reviews I took extra steps to ensure my experience was hopefully different. I live in an apartment building where there is no intercom. I knew I would be home and the package would not fit into my letter box. Therefore, the morning when my package was to be delivered I left a nice note for the delivery personnel. Asking if they could come knock on my door located at the back of the building. Thank you to that worker! They came around the building and delivered my package to my door. Much appreciated because now I do not have to go to the industrial park. Perhaps a solution for those with peculiar apartment buildings 😊

I don't have any complaints on the service the few times I went however! If you leave me a slip between the hours of 8 and 5, odds are I'm at an 8 to 5 job, which a lot of people probably have in a government city; how on earth is office hours of 8 to 5 helpful to me to get my package? I either have to a. Rush and use almost my entire lunch hour at work to get a package or b. Rush after work or leave work early to get the package. Canada Post offers days where they are open till 9pm and they also operate on weekends. Why no after hours at this location? Even a day or two a week?

The absolute worst service I have ever experienced in a delivery service. They make little to no effort to locate the address where package is to be delivered. If they cant find the address, the package goes into an abyss which can take a week to locate. The depot's cant correspond with the drivers apparently, so there is no way to actually get a package of a truck even if you are prepared to go to the depot to pick it up. You cant even call a depot directly, because they " don't have the resources to answer phones". Really!!!!!?????? Also, it almost impossible to get a real person on the 1 800 number when the online instruction is "please contact Purolator for instruction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Bottom line is NEVER USE PUROLATOR.

Why bother paying extra for Amazon Prime just to have it handed off to a courier who won't follow through on delivery dates? I paid extra for a reason: to have my package here when it was meant to be. There's no way in hell a package takes more than 2 days to travel from Dieppe to Fredericton! It's 1.5 hours away! I was promised my package would be here today by 8pm. It's now 5:13 pm and Purolator is closed, with my package no where to be found. I placed this order FIVE DAYS AGO and it was prepared for travel at 2 pm on Monday. It's now Wednesday. I could have driven to pick the package up myself and would have had it home on Monday. Your company is BULL! Purolator doesn't know the meaning of "GUARANTEED DELIVERY DATE" so don't bother wasting your time here.

Absolutely horrendous company. Waiting on a very important parcel that was supposed to be next day delivery, it's a day late. Then the next day, we watched the purolator guy drive by. They marked it as undeliverable. The next morning we waited and waited and the exact same thing happened. The depot said he knocked and there was no answer which was not true. Two of us were waiting and we have a very yappy sheltie that would of notified us as soon as a car pulls up. Terrible service.
