DHL

Shipped a mobile phone back to Peru and it was the receiver's own mobile I was sending back to. I wrote down the merchandise value as its resale value on the Internet as I wanted to get insured for that amount just in case it gets lost. No one in the store has advised me that any thing over $80 will be subjected to taxes at Peruvian Custom. It would have been great if DHL could let me know this information before I wrote down the merchandise value. Now, I'm subjected to pay $180 taxes for the receiver in Peru on top of $160 I have paid to send the shipment. Lot of money for returning the phone. Isn't it? I chose DHL over Canada Post because I thought it was faster and safer choice. Nightmare. Will never use DHL service again.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - ZERO COMMON COURTESY I drove in heavy traffic from Buffalo, NY and arrived at the store at 5 minutes to 4p (closing time). The girl refused to let me fill out the paperwork for a DHL package! She spent 3 minutes arguing with me that there's no time for her to take the 3 pages i was going to mail (during which time i could have easily filled out the ONE PAGE form.) I told her that i had driven all this way and that i had a plane to catch in the morning from Toronto and would not be able to come back on Monday to mail the envelope. Still refused and gave me attitude and said " it was not her problem" ! This is while she had nothing to do except chit chat with a man who was clearly NOT A CUSTOMER. Simply shameful not to have the common decency TO DO HER JOB & help someone in need. I have NEVER EVER experienced such behavior from a human being who supposedly works in customer service. I am definitely filing a complaint with owner & regional manager.

I was really under pressure to send some papers out of Canada and I only had my lunch break to go to the dhl office and then come back to work. The staff here were very helpful and made their best to place my order quickly so that I get back to work on time. Easy and efficient!

USE USPS NEXT TIME. $13 in 'import fees' (actually DHL brokerage fees) and $17 dollars on clearance for $20 dollars worth of books. It took them 3 minutes to clear said books. What a joke. Notice that the reviews on google map are either overwhelmingly positive (5 stars and, most likely, paid for or fake reviews) or overwhelmingly negative. I know its expensive to live in Canada but when you have to pay 65% import tax, and the shipping charges are almost DOUBLE of what the price of the product is, it doesn't take an idiot to see that this company is obviously RIPPING YOU OFF.

Amazing customer service and very friendly staff. they try to get the best rate and fastest option. Very helpful. Will definitely go back again.
