Had a great time snowboarding there.

Great local ski hill, about 700 acres. Warm schoolbus ride to the top can make you sleepy.

Great local ski/snowboard mountain terrain!

Only two running buses caused a 20-30 min wait for a ride up, which itself takes 10 min so today was a 30-40 min wait between runs. If a “lift” can only support X number of people; please don’t sell 3X lift tickets.

My experience was rather negative. To start with, as I was walking up to the lodge there was a guy smoking a joint right out front and not even trying to hide it (still illegal in a public place, even in Alaska). The lodge is relatively small but completely sufficient because I came to ski, not sit in the lodge. The buses to the top were annoying because it was typical to wait 5 minutes to get on one and then the extra time to load and unload made it significantly slower than a chairlift. In addition the bus concentrates all the body odor and weed smell in a rather gross environment. The actual slopes were pretty good with enough runs of all skill levels that crowding was not an issue, even on a busy day. What was missing was really tough, steep, gnarly slopes that I like but are not enjoyable for snowboarders. The price was comparable to other slopes but less of a deal because Moose Mountain opens later and closes earlier. I was also not able to get as many runs in because or time spent waiting for the bus. All in all, they've got some good slopes but they're catered to the weed-smoking, snowboarding clientele. If you like to ski, go to Ski Land. I won't be going back to Moose Mountain.
