My daughter just returned from her third summer at Brown Ledge. She absolutely loves camp and the second family she has developed there. From the Directors on down BLC is filled with supportive staff and campers. The rustic charm and simplicity is a treasure in this day and age. Letting the camper choose what activities they wish to focus on in any given day is pure genius.

My daughter just started her 5th summer as a camper at Brown Ledge. It is truly her "happy place." We love the "free choice" philosophy of the camp. It has allowed her to explore her passions in depth, something that is not possible at camps with highly scheduled days. Brown Ledge only hires experienced counselors to run their programming. Campers are getting high quality instruction in the areas of their choice. The campers mostly come from the eastern seaboard, but there are campers from all over the US and abroad. Bill and Kathy, the directors, are wonderful. The camp facilities are basic, but that is very intentional. Many of the girls come from comfortable homes and lives, this is an experience in simplicity. The girls thrive and honestly, love it. The food is great...fresh, cooked on site. It is an all-inclusive camp. Pay one fee - includes horseback riding and laundry! Brown Ledge is a wonderfully special summer camp.

There is not a single camp in this world that comes close to Brown Ledge.
