I have to be fair in my review after all this is someone’s business and source of income. However, while I lay awake past 3:00 a.m. wondering what a guy is doing sitting in his car after my car alarm went off is a bit puzzling. I believe he’s living in his car because he keeps starting it every few minutes. Motel owner, hire this guy to be your security and pay him with accommodation. I give this place 2 stars for cleanliness. Everything else, you just try to sleep on it (if you can). I tried but I am a light sleeper and the sound of trains going by doesn’t do it for me. Bring ear plugs! A long time ago this place was a source of luck, hence the name Shamrock Hotel. We didn’t stay here back then, but we thought after 16 years since that fortunate day we would come try it. Well, we tried... This place could make so much more if they renovate, upgrade, hire security, provide hair dryer and coffee maker (a must). Just saying it has potential. There’s already a fridge and a microwave why not add 2 more must haves in a motel room. Then add a few $ to your room rates. It’s a win win... The accommodation the Shamrock Motel provides is not for us. I’m sure it works for other people especially if you’re just passing through. Did I mention the toilet is not flushing properly, but the bathroom is very clean. I suggest getting rid of moldy plastic shower curtain and replace it with fabric shower curtain and wash it together with the bed sheets. Did I mention CLEAN? Yup, bedsheets been washed (the smell of bleach in the air). I know a clean sheet when I see one because I worked in the hotel industry before and know the tricks of the trade (not sharing that). If you even see one piece of hair on that bed sheet you better ask for clean sheets and PRONTO! As mentioned earlier the room is clean, if you just want somewhere to crash, BUT I would pay more for peace of mind, security, and working plumbing. Of course if you’re in a tight budget then this is your place. You can’t get a better price.

Great people and great price! Clean and comfortable facilities!

The room was very good for the price that you pay. The housekeepers are friendly and the check-in is quick. There is a nice tv of decent size and a table and chair for food. There is a small refrigerator to keep your food cold and a microwave for cooking

For the cheapest place in town, its still not worth it. You're better off going somewhere a few dollars more for more comfort and better service. The service is rude, they have treated everyone i know whos stayed there like they are dir t, and the outside is filthy. The only good thing was the rooms appeares very clean. The beds were nicely made and the towels were neatly stacked. The worst part of my entire stay tho wasnt the fact i thought it came with good cable, and you dont get a lot of channels but it was that you couldnt use the WiFi at all. Everyones on the internet these days. If I'm like most of the people that stay here, which are only people who have no other option, then i need internet to get anything done. GET BETTER INTERNET. Theres companys with deals for hotels that can handle lots of people on it, get that. Also the freezers dont work right and neither does the pumping most of the time. I hated my stay here and if i could give it a zero i would. Highly dont recommend any staying here.
