Great place in downtown Detroit to see a show. Leave early as parking and inner-city traffic can be challenging. Old-school and intimate with a good deal of history. I saw the young piano prodigy, Ethan Bortnick, there recently and it really was a fun show. Nice little bar inside and you can take your drink to your seat. I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 because the bathrooms were leaking. C'mon, guys, get it together. Otherwise, a wonderful slice of Detroit musical history you must experience.

I'm a litlle biased because we had front row seats. Acoustics are fabulous. Old world charm in downtown Detroit. Within walking distance of many historical sites.

First time inside the Jazz Cafe and I absolutely loved it!! Because I got a opportunity to see up close and in personal a phenomenal artist Anthony David performs hit top hits. Plus Detroit own Ideeyah Jam the opening!!! The bathroom was funkier than the set tho😔But overall I enjoyed my time.🤗

The play I saw there on April 20th was excellent. Unfortunately there were no rules and regulations concerning the use of phones and no recommendations asking the crowd to be quiet. At the very least it would have been nice to announce, "Please turn your phones off and refrain from noise during the play. It is a distraction to the actors and your fellow play watchers", or something like that. I know you can't force people, unless you tell them they will be put out, but at least some guidelines should be stated. It just ruined my experience.

Went to Detroit Demo Day 2018. Great vibe. Great place to host the event. Pricey drinks.
