Solar Stage is an excellent place for kids... the program encourages them to use their imagination (there are few, if any, props), engage with the actors, and overcome any stage fright (during the audience engagement component). There is a very ‘community theatre’ feel with enthusiastic actors, a location in Wychwood Barns, and a bare stage. I have been attending their performances for years and have NEVER been disappointed. Their plays cover stories from Goldilocks and the Three Bears to The Three Little Pigs to a Robert Munsch special... the stories are always kid friendly and are often stories the kids know well (so they can easily follow along)! Wychwood Barns itself is beautiful, bright, and airy - Solar Stage has a medium-sized space within. There is access via transit and vehicle. Solar Stage is a great introduction to the theatre - will definitely return to see upcoming shows!

This is a fantastic theatre. Our all family enjoyed exceptional performances! My 3 and 5 year old kids were entertained the whole time during shows “Memorable Munsch” and “ Treasure Island”. Actors are supreme. Just love their enthusiasm and how they engage young minds.

Recently took my nephew to Solar Stages "Musical hangouts with Joanna Kellam" on Sunday. All the children loved the show. Joanna has an infectious energy and is great at supporting and encouraging the audience to participate in the songs.

Fantastic productions, very engaging and a wonderful experience! We loved Princess Knight and Memorable Munsch! I'm getting a season pass again next year!

My son loved it here and enjoyed the treasure Island play over Christmas break. They did a draw that was kind of annoying and seemed like a cash grab and made all the kids crazy while they waited...but overall an excellent theatre experience for kids and I had some laughs too!
