My partner and I decided to take much needed time off around January with our two dogs, Casper and Maya (Bichon & Rottweiler) after hearing wonderful feedback about the owners and the lodge from good friends who have visited recently with their dogs. David and Michael were absolutely a pleasure to deal with! Courteous, friendly, clean, entertaining, accommodating - are just a few of the words that come to mind. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating with our plans. Despite not being able to do much outdoors, we had the best time spending it indoors with the other guests, David and Michael. The food was delicious, the room and the entire lodge was spacious and clean, and full of character, and the view was just gorgeous. We felt welcomed and cared for from start to end!!

A very special place!! The owners are very warm & welcoming, my family (dogs included) and myself were made to feel right at home. David, the owner, went out of his way to make sure my mom enjoyed herself, and she did!! From helping us load & unload my car, to carting my mom around on the golf cart, to amazing food, yummy treats and little touches galore, our experience was incredibly special from the moment we arrived. I am truly grateful.

This was a fabulous gem to find! The staff were incredible! The other residents were as kind as could be as well. This is a place any dog owner should be grateful to stay at. There are home made meals for dinner every other night with a Friday pizza night and plenty of books and dvds to watch with your family. You will not be disappointed with staying here. We plan to stay longer next year. Big thanks to David and Michael for always making us feel welcome. And to all the people who we met, it was a pleasure to converse with you and meet your dog's!

This is my second time at the lodge with my dog as the first visit was so pleasant and relaxing. The owners, David & Michael are great hosts, and the meals are delicious and plentiful. Friendly dogs are welcome & my dog enjoyed running about with the other dogs which is not something she is used to.. I look forward to my next stay. Definitely a place for people who like dogs.

David and Michael are great hosts and make it feel like you’re staying with family. Our dogs LOVE Woodhaven. A great sandy lake and the dogs are free to run around off-leash anywhere on the property. Our favourite place to visit in cottage country.
