Great little information outlet conveniently located just a stones throw from the shops of Elora. Great staff who were both super knowledgeable and friendly. The perfect introduction to the town. Parking is very tight on this street however - best to walk but if you're in a car, you can park right next door at the convenience store. There are also public washrooms located here.

Super friendly helpful staff. Plenty of leaflets of information and local events. Maps available with advisors who can provide routes and walking trails. They can inform you where the artists studios are, where to eat and shop. Extremely easy and pleasant experience.

I have lived in Guelph since 2008 and only recently have we started to explore the area surrounding and we planned a trip to Elora for an afternoon as we thought it would be enough. First disappointment, one afternoon is not enough. We were in late summer and there was plenty of free parking if you come into the town and pick the 24 hour parking by the main bridge. Lots of dust in the town as they are overhauling the mill, the falls and other main attractions. First pleasant thing to point out is the architecture of the homes, they are well preserved. Art is everywhere, that was something very unexpected and very nice to look at. We took lots of pictures on our way to the view at the gorge. It is something that is awesome to see and to understand that water and ice formed these deep gorges in the layers. Restaurants plenty and we and up at the Metcalf for a lovely lunch. Lots of art to look at in the stores, good coffee, ice cream and other yummy treats. I think it is maybe a forgotten gem, the only negative is the huge amounts of traffic, trucks going and coming from the quarry, dust everywhere. I feel we have still not seen everything but we are coming back once the construction is completed.
