Great fun, went later in the day (around 4pm) and by 5.15 we'd landed 3 big trout, around 9lbs total liveweight. Admission is cheap, $5 each, rod rental also reasonable at $6 each and they give you as much bait as you need. You can also buy fish food to draw the fish to your spot $3. There are some snacks, ice cream and pop available too. You can also rent small or large BBQs for cooking by the pond side. The fish is charged at $9 per lb liveweight which isn't cheap but considering the low admission cost it works out as reasonably priced. Unless you're fly fishing you have to keep and pay for what you catch, so keep track of your bucket, the average size is around 2.5lbs per fish, or about $27. The staff are laid-back, friendly and know what they're doing, and they'll gut your fish, clean it and offer it with heads on or off according to your preference. We were a group of two, got admission, a rod each, a bag of fish food and 3 nice size trout for $88 taxes in. A little costly but it was a fun way to spend a couple of hours. Looking forward to heading back to try out fly fishing so we can have the fun of catching but not have to worry about having to pay for all the fish.

Great place to go with the kids. Anything caught under a pound is free. Friendly staff and the grounds are very well maintained.. no smoking or drinking.
