I felt Andrea Bellamere's report on the TWEETS of the students of the Waterloo School Board's decision not to call a Snow Day highly inappropriate. After all, "we wouldn't have to go to school when it snows in Canada". When she read and then giggled at the comments it could only empower the students to communicate in a rude and silly way in the future. Those students (and all students) should watch a movie on Netflix entitled "ON THE WAY TO SCHOOL" by Pascal Plisson. This movie describes the long journeys that children in other countries take each day because school is a privilege for them. Andrea's presentation only encourages our entitled students to become more entitled. What happened to respect and appreciation.
