Love this trail .. The beginning of the trail there is old cars in the ravine .. take the trail down and it brings you to the river banks of the maitland river .. nice place to stop and take in the scenery .. all along the first part of this trail there is spots that you are able to walk out to the middle of the river if its low enough .. would recommend this trail to anyone that likes a great get away !!

This is an excellent trail system. There are rest areas on the river with picnic tables and several benches on the trails.

The beautiful Maitland valley is full of little known natural treasures. This trail system gives respectful visitors (remember this is private land) a feel for the human and natural heritage of Huron County. Old fields, remains of early settlement and industry and cultivated fields mix with rich forest and riparian habitat. The broad Maitland River is breathtaking. The trails are well groomed with natural surfaces. There are some slopes and spots that might be slippery at times so appropriate footwear is important.
