The Haliburton Highlands Museum is a hidden gem in the Haliburton Highlands. It not only contains the history of the region but also hosts numerous events that are interesting to attend. When I took my 5 and 3 year old grandchildren there last summer they were entranced by the old buildings and furniture in the buildings on the property. It is also close to Glebe Park and offers the chance for a picnic or tour of the Sculpture Forest while you are there.

Very interesting to learn about the history of the surrounding community and how things progressed from the early days

Staff are wonderful and the place offers free snowshoeing equipment. Great for kids as there are lots of activities during the March break. Places a little bit small so it can get crowded which speaks volumes to how amazing the stuff are that there are so many people that come to visit

Tonnes of stuff, too much to display. Take time to go through the house next to it.

The friendly and knowledgeable staff was very passionate about the wonderful collection of local historic items. Our family enjoyed our time spent at this museum.
