Being born and raised in Kingston, I have been to Old Fort Henry more times than I can count and it always blows me away. This past weekend we attended again as the US Marine Corp was there with the Marine Band and Precision Drill Team. These are PROFESSIONAL soldiers and I would put our Guard up against them any day of the week when it comes to precision, professionalism and OUR guard are University Students. Once again, so impressed as were our friends who experienced it for the first time! So proud!

Really nice place to visit with your family! They have a nice tour, they make food according to the time for guests to try and buy. There’s a really cool soldier marching and band display. Also if you are a teacher you get in for free and if not then your admission is also good for the upper Canada village which is a about an hour away I think and super cool

I have been to Old Fort Henry many times over the last 55 years or so. It never disappoints. Went again two days ago. The Guard were simply fantastic. Their drill precision evidenced what must be hours and hours of practice and commitment. Have some experience with drill, being retired RCMP. These young men and ladies are ten times better that we ever were!!. All the staff at the Fort were so friendly and helpful. So proud to see people from all over the world seeing and enjoying a living example of our history. Well done all staff at Fort Henry!

I somehow went into this thinking that surely a big old fort would be boring, but I was so wrong. The fort is massive and well done up. There's incredible re-enactments constantly going on in the square - we watched for quite some time, captivated at the precision and accuracy of these reenactments! When exploring around the fort, a lot of the rooms are either re-done to period specific style, or are used as museum rooms (each room focusing on different topics and having a large variety of amazing artifacts - if you're into that stuff). Some of the rooms are also part of reenactments too, like the school room (which hosts a short school for guests every day) and bakery (which had bakers baking AMAZING smelling bread over the fire). We came back a second time and did one of the ghost walks here after dark, which was a really cool time to see the fort and hear some eerie stories. Would definitely go back again and spend more time there! The place is a fury of activity and I'm sure we didn't even see it all! Worth the visit! We did it as part of a kpass.

Fascinating historical building. I've been on both the regular tour, and the haunted walk tour. Both are very interesting an incorporate a bunch of historical facts. I enjoy this place as much now as I did when I was a kid.
