Very scenic and beautiful. I highly recommend a climb up the tower. Even if you are afraid of heights or have terrible anxiety, like myself. My only gripe is that people do not heed the ‘rules’ as posted. Such as, ‘No waiting on the stairs’. I got trapped on the outer stairs on the upper climb near the top. I couldn’t safely pass because 7 people were all standing on one small landing. And I was afraid of slipping and had a small anxiety attack, thus I waved the people up to go by me as I squeezed myself as hard as I could against the rail. I really really wish that ‘they’ [whom ever runs the outlook or even have volunteers from the town] would have people at the bottom, middle and top of the tower to keep order and safety. I really want to go back when the colours change but I’m terrified of crowds and getting ‘stuck’ on the stairs again. I might try again during the middle of the week but getting there the minute it opens to avoid crowds as best I can. Don’t let your fears/anxieties keep you from experiencing the views from the tower. They are worth the effort =)

Very cool! We stopped here for a quick hike on the way home from the cottage. It was really fun, and a great little stopping point to spend some family time. Staff at the gate and in the shop were nice

The Dorset Lookout Tower is around 2 hr 45 minutes away from Toronto by car. It is a beautiful place to be. The view from the scenic tower is amazing. The parking is 7$. Visit in summer or during fall. You can climb all the way up of the scenic tower and view the whole nature and lakes around. The view is beautiful. Just take care while climbing the steps up to the tower as they are pretty narrow. There is small hike you can do. It just goes down the hill and up the hill. Make sure you have proper sport shoes while you go here and go into the trails. The tower if you can, a must climb. It has a great view of the bay.

During the fall this place is amazing! The trees are so many different colors and the view above the treeline is absolutely fantastic. You can walk up the tower to the very top and take great pictures.

Very nice view from the top of the tower. A rewarding steep climb up. The surrounding trail is a bit challenging though short. A nice walk but entirely between the trees, so no exciting views
