First off I must say I love Manitoulin Island it is one of my families favourite destinations. Quite the hike but beautiful view. Unfortunately the old way up is closed and the new way is nowhere near as stunning as the old. The new way is still good plenty of parking still available. Beautiful old age growth. I recommend going in the fall to see the beautiful colours as it is quite magnificent. Be sure to go on a warm dry day as the claim can be slippery. Cheers

This hike is one of the hardest but the scenery is super nice! First off, this hike is pretty hard going downhill but going up is super easy, Second thing is the cracks, you NEED to watch out for that. There is crack near one of the lookouts and it’s super deep. The lookouts are beautiful and I cannot stand one of them. If your looking for a normal hike I would recommend the red trail, if you want a long hike the best would probably be the blue trail and if you want a challenge/adventure the yellow trail would be the best for that. I would bring water and something to track the weather. All I gotta say now is the first stairwell. When going up it’s steep but not bad but if your going down you need to watch out of where you’re going. I would totally recommend it for people who like going for hikes.

Come early enough if you want to finish the full trail (main trail + south loop). I highly recommend the adventure trail if you are looking for a challenge, but make sure that you keep an eye out for the markers as they could be easily missed. Make sure to check out the lookout spots, but be careful especially if you are bringing your kids and pets. Keep an eye out for crevices; there is one near the northern main trail and adventure trail junction that is very deep! Besides those tips, the views from the lookout spots were breathtaking. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

Incredible trail we did it twice. Highly recommend the adventure trail for most and the blue line is a really nice walk. I'm not sure what the name was but the little wooden structure in the parking lot there's a guy who sets up a hot dog vendor cart and BBQ. Definitely nice to get some food after the blue trail!

This is one of the most beautiful hikes I’ve been on. The nature encountered during this hike is unique, beautiful, and varied. The trails are the perfect length, and perfect level of difficulty for the average bicker. The optional “Adventure Trail” is a great addition to the trail. You’ll enjoy the adventurous feeling of feeling lost on the trail, until you reach a solid wooden ladder to bring you back on the normal trail. Climbing down into a pitch black cave, not knowing how long it is and if there will be an exit, is also a memorable experience. A couple of average lookouts may seem like a disappointing reward for the length of the hike, until you reach the absolutely amazing, breathtaking, and stunning Eastern lookout point: you won’t be disappointed (but definitely watch your step and stay far away from the edge). Note that there are two trails: Blue and red. The blue one is the longer, more difficult trail, and can last 4 to 6 hours. The red trail offers a shorter 25-35 minute hike. There also some interesting rock formations along the Cup and Saucer Trail.
