The Bird Kingdom was very good. The whole experience will take approximately 1-2 hours. There aren't a lot of parking on the lot of the property, but there are parking available on the surrounding areas. There are many different type of birds and it was fun watching and trying to interact with them. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the birds (she loves birds). I would wait few years to go back again.

My girlfriend was actually able to get us a discounted price as she knows someone who works here. So we got a really good deal as far as that goes. For the actual visit, it was somewhat surprisingly pretty good. I'm a local so I don't usually expect too much from Clifton Hill tourist stuff but I do really like birds. The tour starts off with a small museum like area before you reach the animals (yes, not just birds!) There was a lovely tortoise walking around one area named Lilly. There was an assortment of reptile type animals as well. Quite the spread of exotic birds especially in the Aviaries. In some areas you're allowed to pick up the birds / have them perch on you for pictures. One fun part as well let's you feed nectar to the birds and they will fly over to you for it. I did still rate this 5 stars even though I noticed some of the birds exhibiting signs of stress (extreme feather plucking). I only noticed a couple of them were showing these signs and I know it's not always the owner's / business fault as some birds just don't do well in captivity or may have been adopted with prior issues. All in all it was a lovely visit.

Beautiful place. Lots of bird species. I am quite convinced they had a dead eel in their fish tank. It’s eyes were wide open, with a white appearance to them and it didn’t move even slightly for over 10 minutes. It just lay at the bottom of the tank in a position that looked unusual. I am no expert in eels or any fish for that matter, but I have seen many of them before. I am quite positive it was dead. Hence the low rating. The rest of the “kingdom” was nice. WATCH YOUR HEAD! Learned that the hard way. Gift shop at front of the store is great, and extremely affordable. If it weren’t for the eel, my rating would be higher.

A must-go, especially if you have kids. We absolutely loved this place! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was easy to see they are passionate about what they do. Pricing was very reasonable, too.

A lovely attraction, better than most in this area. More than just birds, it features local history, as well as reptiles - tortoises, lizards, frogs, snakes, spiders. Beautiful Birds are the main attraction, and most are in an open environment where they are freely flying all around you, even landing on you! There is an area where you can hand feed them nectar while they are perched on you (everything is included in the initial admission price). There is a small gift shop which has a wide variety of very nice gifts and souvenirs, that are actually quite affordable - unlike most overpriced gift shops in the area, which was a pleasant surprise.
