I like to call this a "living historical museum". I say that because it is a fully operational Grist mill, with the added benefit of being able to visit and explore the innards of the machinery. Once a week, they operate the mill, processing grain into flour. For those of you who like to see the workings and ingenuity of our ancestry, this place is a treat.

Excellent spot for a picnic. There are multiple picnic tables. You may see ducks under the bridge every now and then swimming in the water. They also may sometimes come up to the land to visit you! Beautiful heritage mill building in the heart of Manotick on a nice street with other historic buildings .

Fish there now and again, it's hit or miss. Nice to be by the water. Manotic is very pretty

Beautiful location to walk around and enjoy nature. Extremely relaxing (despite the heavy construction nearby). Definitely a site worth seeing, especially for out-of-town tourists. The main street is literally a block away and has several good restaurants.

Watson's Mill offers a free visit of its four floors that offer plenty of information about the history of Manotick. The surrounding landscapes are absolutely gorgeous.
