A very friendly staff member showed us how they catch, tag, and release the birds for the purpose of tracking their migration habbits. He was great with kids and very informative. Its worth checking out for an hour or so.

It was cool and windy today, so not a lot of bird activity, but we did see some birds.on prior visits there has been lots of activity. Always fascinating to learn more every time we go.

It was cool but the Viewing Deck had a wasps best under it and the paths were kinda overgrown.

I enjoy every visit here early spring when the migration is at its peak and you could spot dozens of species of birds in one day. The young staff of volunteers is always willing to enhance your experience with watching the bird banding or tracking. You just need to tag along.
