Only 3 lanes for 800 campsites and thousands of visitors. They do the best they can, but come early or late. If you can take the bypass to the park. Park in the lot and walk in to get a permit

The hours were different than what was written on the website, on the doors, on the map, etc. We spend hours trying to find someone to talk to to check in. When you've never camped there and don't know where to look, it's really hard to find. We tried to call multiple numbers and they were either not picking up or they told us they couldn't do anything. And they scare you off on the email they send you by saying that if you come too late to check in, you have to do so the next day before 8 o'clock but then they aren't open until 11!! And they don't say anything about it ANYWHERE!!! So yeah... not impressed by their professionalism. Oh and just a side note, if you need anything, better buy it before hand because the store opens only between 11 and 4 o'clock... I understand that it is the off-season but there were still a lot of people on the campsite... and we are not aloud to bring wood from home so it would be nice to have more indications and wood available later that 4! Because usually, people in vacations do stuff in the afternoon other than wait around the store to open and close!
