The vehicle I required was unavailable, but this was a downfall of the website, not through any oversight of the Discount staff. Top marks and big kudos to Victoria at the Stampede location for recognizing my requirement, for taking additional time and for making superb effort to locate the vehicle I required. Staff are thorough yet pleasant and professional. Again, my sincere appreciation to Victoria for her extra efforts and professional attitude. In my view, and through my experiences, she is an excellent representative of Discount.

I had reserved a Minivan for the day of July 24, 2018. I arrived at the opening at 7:30 to pick up the rental for the day, and they informed me they had on TWO cars in their lot which they could rent. Another gentleman (who also arrived at opening) and I were going to be the only people that morning to receive cars. They informed us that they had a break in at their main lot a couple days previously and a bunch of keys was stolen and because of this they were limited on vehicles. I reserved a Minivan because I had out of town guests with our party totaling 7 people with 2 car seats. Luckily they had an SUV with 3rd row (the third row couldn't attach car seats) which we were given. The SUV was not large enough with the 3rd row up to put any luggage in the trunk, so we were forced to have bags between our feet and on our laps, and were unable to take baby strollers with us. I felt this was a massive fail by ACE/Discount for not informing us that they did not have any cars, or in that matter any minivans available. As this theft happened a few days previously, there was adequate time for a representative to reach out and let me know of the situation. I could have made other arrangements another car rental company to reserve a Minivan or could have moved the rental date so I would be able to have a minivan. They made NO reconciliations for forcing me to take a smaller vehicle to which I reserved. I thought I (and I am sure other customers) was treated very poorly by the staff at ACE/Discount as they were laughing sarcastically, saying at least you received a vehicle. Yes, I received a car, but NOT what I needed, and what I reserved. Don't offer reservations then not be able to meet your obligations. If you can't meet them for some unforeseen circumstances inform your patrons. I will not be renting from ACE/Discount again and will be letting everyone I know to steer clear because this is not the way customers should be treated.

I'd give them more stars if I could! The staff were super helpful, polite and kind, even though they had no cars due to some other booking website problems. Honestly, best staff -- I'd have gone nuts if I was in their situation. Kudos to you all! Solid teamwork!!!

I needed a car asap, and the manager made it happen! The customer service experience was amazing, and i didnt have to wait. I needed a rental, and BOOM i had it! I cannot thank the manager ENOUGH. I will be coming to this branch from now on. Thank you again.

Darlene is the one to avoid. She is an extortionist! She says she is the district manager and if her standard and way of operation is what Discount relies on, then I would never use them ever. She signed off on my rental at full tank and told me to bring it back at full. I drove total 27.6kms and filled up the truck to full. Costed 21 dollars, that means I drove around 100kms, which I didn't. I brought up the issue noting that the vehicle she gave to me as full was not full and based on my calculation, they owe me 15 dollars in fuel. I didn't use up the fuel and she said I owe her a filled up car. She took the paperwork then forged it by writing a 7 next to 8, making it a 7/8. She then said she never told me the vehicle was full and it was my error for bringing it back at full. 1. Do you job and check to make sure the vehicle is actually full in fuel before you tell the customers that it is and have them sign off, trusting Discount in the first place. 2. Don't argue with a customer when they bring up a valid error made on your part. 3. Don't forge a document to hide your error, especially if you are a manager of any sort.
