I just had a pretty negative experience with Leon’s that only proves how difficult and restrictive their policies are. Also, not to mention we encountered a rude salesman. A couple of months prior we had bought a $2600 sectional and received two $100 promo cards from that purchase. The downside of these promo cards is that they can’t be used on sale items and of course 75% of the store is either on sale, clearance, managers special etc. We decided to put these promo cards towards the purchase of a compact fridge, and unfortunately there was only one fridge that wasn’t on sale… the base model. We inquired with a salesman about the possibility of purchasing the better model and paying the full price (not the sale price) to be able to use the promo cards. He said the manager wouldn’t allow it. So we decided to see if we could find the manager and ask him ourselves. On the way an older salesman asked if we needed help, and we told him we were looking for the manager. He told us the manager was busy but asked if he could help us, so we told him our situation. His response was it probably wouldn’t be able to happen. In defeat, we decided to get the only fridge that wasn't on sale. However, on the way to the front desk to checkout I discovered that the fridge we actually wanted was full price online and asked the woman about purchasing online and using the promo cards. Both women at the front, one of them named Sonia, were very helpful, even calling head office to try to make the purchase work. As we're talking with Sonia, the older salesman shows up, attempts to pull rank and reminds us of what he told us earlier, which was he didn't think it could happen and basically accept what it is or move on. First of all, we didn't need his help again, so his interjection was not only unnecessary but rude, making us seem unreasonable for trying to get a believable answer on our situation. Both previous salesmen that we talked to didn’t seem that interested in trying to actually help us, unlike the two women at the front. Not to mention at that point we had already decided to just get the base model fridge. You would think that after spending $2600 on a couch to get these promo cards, there would be a bit of reasonable wiggle room. We were prepared to pay the full price (and more money) but NOTHING could be done. After all that, we get home, take the fridge out of the box and discovered it had a dent...

EDIT: originally rated 1/5, improved to 3/5. As you can see, the store has contacted me. I feel that we had a good discussion and that my negative experience was an exception and not the norm. I've left it up for reading, but I would give Leon's another chance. Original post: I have had only negative experiences at Leon's: once while buying new washer and dryer pair, and again while trying to re-appliance my kitchen. I do not recommend Leon's at all, and actively advise all my friends and family to avoid them as well. Their service is generally poor, and their prices are about the same as anyone else. Specific to my experience: 1. It's difficult to find a sales associate, which is a poor way to start off. Apparently they don't keep many floor staff. 2. They give every impression of being disinterested in gaining your business. The sales associate who did speak to me (after I walked to the front counter and had them page one) barely talked to me before leaving to do some paperwork. 3. They lack integrity. While standing right in front of their "integrity guarantee" sign, which outlines their lowest price promise to their customers, both the associate and supervisor took significant convincing in order to even match a quote I brought in. In the end, they agreed to match it, but not beat it, and even then they said it had to be right then and their offer wouldn't stand. I pointed out the policy on the sign behind them, and received nothing more than "well that's just how it is", before they left to do something else. If they can't abide by their own policy, and they outright show they lack integrity, then I can't imagine what working through a problem or warranty with them would be like.

Leon's took our money for a range (a kitchen stove) we purchased 6 weeks ago and did not deliver. Today, after we called them about it for the 2nd time (after 6 weeks), they told us that the stove we had paid for in full had been discontinued by the factory. What? Now you tell us? And we had to call you again to find out? Meanwhile, we had to live without a range for a month and a half. We couldn't go shopping for another one (Leon's had our money), and it was NEVER going to come in the first place? Oh, and they said we could either buy an upgraded model from them (they'd knock $100 off) or we could get our money back, with no interest--although they'd had our funds for 6 weeks. Throughout the month and a half, we called twice to check on the status of that order. Once, after 3 weeks, Leon's informed us that the range wasn't in yet, but that that was not surprising to them, even though their website had promised the range would arrive after 3 weeks. Their website, they said, made those delivery dates up. They were not reliable at all. The Leon's rep claimed to have no way to check on the status of the order...which, as we discovered today, was not true. Sales reps are able to check on the status, but it takes a little bit of effort, it seems. When we called again (today) after 6 weeks, a sales rep finally admitted to us that the product was NEVER going to come. Either they discovered some way to check on the status or they had known that fact for who knows how long, and just had never bothered to inform us. In the meantime, we lived without a range for 6 weeks when we could have been shopping elsewhere. Leon's does not deserve our business.

I bought a dining set and a bedroom set through Leon's. Upon delivery day, the dining table and the dresser were both damaged pretty badly on the corners. We have also been waiting 9+ weeks for a second dresser that was ordered at the same time. (the estimate was 4-6 weeks). I have called Leon's, and they said they still do not have an ETA for delivery. I understand that this a manufacturing issue, not necessarily the retail store. But nonetheless, here I am more than 2 months later with no dresser. I can't say I'm overly impressed.

I had the pleasure of having Kirk show me around the store. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and personable. My apartment is nearly fully furnished from Leon's and I would highly recommend this location to any who desire a quality product and excellent costumer service.
