Not even a real cab company

Apr 1, 2017
Just called and had to listen to 7 "options" before getting the option I needed. Then I was on hold and the "estimated" wait time was 30 seconds. Then every 30 seconds it increased by 30 second until it said "the estimated wait time is 5 minutes". The music that they play on the phone while you're waiting is enough to make you want to shoot yourself. Jesus!

Honestly no wonder people take Ubers. I couldn't even get through to somewhere to request a cab! You shouldn't have to wait on hold for 5+ minutes just to call a cab

I ordered a taxi through Capital Taxi this morning and again, the online/phone service was atrocious. After texting and getting a reply saying the address was invalid, I resent using the exact format prescribed in the returned text. This address was still invalid. When I called, I was told that the address did not exist and after some discussion, a taxi was finally dispatched. I understand that the dispatch center has been moved to the Philippines. This has resulted in numerous problems for me personally based on being told that the address I need does not exist or being asked to provide an address for prominent Ottawa locations. It is not acceptable to be required to provide an address that I cannot find for a location that is well known to anyone living in the city, including the taxi drivers. Dealing with Capital is frustrating but as Capital and Blue Line are linked, I, as the client, have no options except Uber. I am trying to support the taxi industry but am finding it more and more difficult as the service being provided is worsening.

I just had a brutal experience with the dispatch guys at the airport. Very simple request, I just needed a taxi to follow me to a parking lot 200' away. These guys were useless. This is exactly why I'm an uber customer.
