If you have a Carrier furnace then hire someone qualified to do maintenance as Castle has no idea what they are doing. Darren actually came in, couldn't get it running but ordered a part, came in 2 days later to install said part, and it still didn't work. He actually called another furnace maintenance provider on our behalf and had them come in to fix it as he didn't know what to do. Obviously we were left with the bill. As a contractor he should tell you upfront if they are qualified for the job. We were left without heat for 5 days in late November while my wife is 8 months pregnant. I spoke with Kristian, the manager, on Monday to talk about compensation for their inability to do the job. He said he would call me back that night or, at the latest, Tuesday morning. It is now Wednesday with no word from him so I am forced to warm others to stay away while I give Castle the lowest rating I can.

Completely amazing and down to earth staff! An amazing experience, they will be the only call we make from now on!

Used this company last year, had them come out and do the works. Guys were friendly and efficient. Company called at least once a week throughout the winter. A little annoying, but given that I enjoyed their service previously I politely reminded the caller each time that I would like to be contacted in May. Booked service, but due to a family emergency had to cancel, husband phoned a day ahead and left a message requesting a call back to confirm cancellation. Didn't receive a call, so I contacted the company later in the afternoon as I was concerned they might send a truck out- didn't want to waste their time. The man I spoke to was beyond rude. His response was blunt and hostile. He made it very clear that he was irritated that we needed to cancel, and when I attempted to explain the reason he cut me off and with a very sarcastic "Uh huh. Yeah. Well, you're off the schedule". That was the end of that conversation, but I was upset enough that I called back and asked to speak with the owner. Was told by the same guy I was speaking with earlier that the owner was unavailable and could he help me with my problem. I explained that I was calling back to take issue with the way I had been spoken to and that I had only called back in the afternoon because I had not received a call back from the morning. He said "Well, I'm busy. You cancelled. I had other work scheduled around you, and you rescheduled this service once already." To which I replied "Yes, with several weeks notice." I realize that customers needing to reschedule service can be annoying, and I'm sorry to have inconvenienced Castle Maintenance. But the fact of the matter is that these things happen in a service industry, and I didn't cancel lightly. Perhaps they should consider instituting a booking fee so that they're covered in a situation like this. Not sure if that would help to diffuse the hostility, but I would gladly have forfeited a service deposit if I could have had a different experience. Made a bad day much worse. And I wouldn't have bothered to write this if I could have resolved this with a phone call.

My old furnace quit on a wintery Friday evening. “Just great” I thought. Phoned their emergency number and a very professional guy answered immediately and walked me through a relight of the tricky pilot and gave some helpful advice, all at no charge. Pretty impressive. They had serviced and cleaned the furnace for me a few years earlier as well and were great. Thanks very much.

I used Castle a bunch years ago with a renovations company I supervised for and they were good, but as sometimes happens with small businesses quality can come and go. Christian gave me a quote for the work but when his guys showed up they were missing a ladder to get onto the roof and clean the dryer duct (which should be a standard thing on the truck.) Christian told me is was no problem they would return for it. I paid for the bill on the phone before they returned just as a courtesy but when they returned and did the roof vent he charged me extra and above $80 extra for it which wasn't the end of the world except he charged me without even calling me. Just charged my card and no receipt. Found out about it on my next visa bill. This is fraud, I confronted him on it and he made excuses and said their would be no refund. There are much better duct cleaners in town then these guys!
