What an amazing place. They have done a fabulous job thinking out every little detail to make this an incredible community. It is stunning inside and very comfortable, while making you believe you are at a resort. The highlight of the establishment is the Atrium. It is a tropical beauty that has comfortable chairs to curl up with a book or stop by for tea and cookies. The facility is clean and bright and the staff, for the most part, are attentive and quick to act. They are still working out some communication bugs, but I have faith this will come together in time.

I'm an Ottawa South girl and was sad to see the Southway Hotel, a huge part of our heritage being transformed into a retirement home...it's sometimes hard to deal with change! But just like a caterpillar, the changes from Hotel (owned by a community family) to a real family (the same one for over 60 years) owned and operated HOME are incredible and the Seniors are provided with great care, amazing food, exceptional activities and Oh yes, amenities and incredibly thoughtful designs to meet their needs. The owners, the management team and the staff are very approachable, on site, involved and passionate about their treasured gems, the residents. But like Mark Sutcliffe says in his 1310 ads, you have to come and experience it for yourself! One of the gentleman that lives there once shared that "there's no place like home, especially when your surrounded by family 24/7".
