These people should be ashamed of themselves! They are having Rememberance Day ceremonies on Saturday, November 10th! Apparently, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month wasn't a convenient time for for them. How dishonorable.

Well kept facilities- caring and supportive staff. Great location. A very positive environment.

I am so impressed with the professional staff and caring management going above and beyond to care for each residents preferences to the best of their ability. With Independent apartments and assisted living services In the main community, Symphony Orleans strives to meet the needs of French and English speaking residents with fun engaging activities.

Be very careful with this home. One of the other reviews is from a past ED! The chef, Tom is fantastic and Sylvie in charge of social activities is great but that is where the greatness ends! I have a family member there and I can not disclose details but legal action is being pursued. Outside of this I can say they do not communicate and a good example is an incident May 3 when I was the front door would not open. The staff were not told to leave the door unlocked in the evening and once again it was broken and they would not pay for an emergency door company to come and fix it, instead the door was locked and you could not exit. An alternative was to go out the back on an uneven path that is not wel lit. Or asking those in charge of nursing staff for something easy and it doesn't happen. If you have a loved one here my advice is being very involoved! I take care of all of my parents care and would not have it any other way. They cycle Executive Directors, Directors of Care and RN's quicker than you can learn their names. It is very sad because the residence itself is spacious and has alot of opportunity. Ever since Don Brunet left and Symphony took over care when downl. A good example is they let go the kitchen servers and now the nurse staff and PSW's have to serve all meals and do residents garbage, god forbid your loved one has an emergency when they are busy doing these chores. Granted serving meals allows them to get to know residence more it takes away from their priorities and in the past they would always help as needed but were not dedicated waitresses. I would suggest if you are considering have a loved one here you ask to see credentials of PSW's and ensure they are certified by one of the colleges and stay on top of their care, do not leave it to the staff. Having said that a few of the PSW's have been there for ages and are amazing, the main problem is the management or lack there off and the effect on patient care. Forewarned is Forearmed.

Senior Symphony Living is a wonderful Retirement/ Independent Living community. Surrounded by trees, friendly faces, many activities and delicious food, this makes the perfect home! I would recommend this home to friends and family.
