Have worked with several audiologist over the past 20 years, Dr. Edward's is head and shoulders above the rest. Caring and extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of patient care. She and her staff are fantastic and professional.

Dr. Edwards and her staff are professional, thoughtful and caring. Moreover, as an experienced birder I found that my new hearing aids gave me back a world of birdsongs that had drifted out of my range. I am hearing birds I haven't heard in years.

I made my living as a singer for over 40 years in venues ranging from The Montreal Jazz Festival to Rio de Janeiro, Caesar's Palace, Austin City Limits, countless outdoor festivals and theater venues, playing thousands of live shows with hours of sound checks, monitor level settings and thousands of hours in the recording studio. I have hearing loss as a result of four decades of being exposed to every frequency at extremely high volumes for hours on end. Recently, I realized I am watching TV with the volume all the way up and still having to turn on the captions to understand dialogue. Enough is enough. My health insurance covers hearing exams and instruments 100% and Dr. Edwards was listed as a provider on my plan. I saw on her website that she has 30 years experience, and I decided immediately to call for an appointment. When I walked out of her office with my new hearing aids, the world was a completely different place. The MOMENT I stepped outside her office and walked to my car, it was as if a shroud had been lifted from the world around me. Having your hearing restored has an effect on your brain that can only be described as phenomenal. Restoring my hearing has changed my visual perceptions. Restoring my hearing has changed my mental perceptions of everything around me and I am convinced this has had a monumental positive impact on the depression I have been experiencing. Restoring my hearing has completely changed my mental processes and has impacted every one of my senses. Restoring my hearing is like getting my brain back into the sunlight. It took over 40 years to lose the ability to hear these frequencies, tones, timbres and the millions of subtle stimuli that the brain perceives. Once they were restored in an instant, my brain awoke to a whole new world. This is a completely accurate assessment of what it is like to have your hearing restored. I still have two more adjustments to go because Dr. Edwards brings the brain back gently and gradually into the hearing world, but I cannot over emphasize enough that this is not just about your ears, it is about your brain and the way it perceives and processes everything around you. My entire world had been changed by this experience. The exam is as thorough as it is fascinating, and Dr. Edwards and her staff were fully aware of my insurance coverage and made sure that everything was covered 100%. I had no copay or monetary charges of any kind. None whatsoever. Her follow up treatment is superb. Help or answers are but a phone call away, and she is available to see or help - always. This goes so far beyond hearing conversations. This is opening your brain back up to the world it has been shut away from for, in my case, 40 years. Call her and make your appointment. Staff is friendly enough. Hearing aids operate as described. Keep your hand on your wallet, and make them process your insurance before leaving their office. I verified they were an in-network provider of BCBS, but made the mistake of signing their paperwork and paying before I left. They have a disclaimer that says you pay what the insurance doesn't, which is standard enough. What they don't tell you is that they use that as an excuse not to accept the negotiated rate of your plan. The BCBS negotiated rate is $723 less than the uninsured rate. They sited the document I signed saying I would pay what the insurance company didn't as their excuse not to accept the negotiated rate. What does "in network" mean? I paid the full amount, minus $1000 benefit from insurance. My insurance paid $1091, so by my and BCBS calculation they owe me a refund of $814. Remember, they're "in network". They sited that form saying I'd pay the amount BCBS didn't, to not accept the negotiated rate, to me and BCBS. They did admit to an over payment of $91, that was made by BCBS on 3/30. But, as of 6/5, I haven't received a refund for even that. There are a lot of places to get hearing testing and hearing aids. I suggest trying any other one! I feel like I got scammed! Buyer beware!
