Cabinetry

Worked with Shaun and Jason to remove and replace a closet in my house. The old closet was an odd combo of entertainment system/open closet that was built around the stairwell in my bungalow house. They replaced it with a much better cabinet-style closet. My wife and I really like it, and appreciated how much effort Shaun took in working with us on the look and price. They are honest about the materials they use and are big supporters of Michigan companies. Two of the closet doors they received were warped, but instead of shrugging it off, they called the manufacturer, reordered the doors, and came back and fixed it for free. I highly recommend them.

My experience at Laurysen started off wonderful. Our designer (Heather Shabot) was super patient, and changed the kitchen design for us a few times to fit everything we wanted into a specific budget. The selection and design options were brilliant. The installation was fine (or so I thought); there were a few aesthetic pieces missing, but that can be expected with any custom design. Then things went downhill. Somewhere along the line, Heather left and management changed, and I had to constantly harass Lee (Service Manager) for follow ups. The first time they came back, they fixed about half of the problems....but still pieces were missing. The second time they came, all the aesthetic issues were taken care of, but a cabinet door was still missing (they had installed the handle on the wrong side of a corner unit, so the magic corner was not opening properly). I was told the corner unit hardware was all fine, so I could still use it...but last week it completely fell apart! The installation was initiated on June 26 2017...7 months later and I'm still running after them regrading their instillation deficiencies! I know it's under warranty, and that someone will EVENTUALLY be sent to "fix" it, but I'm no longer confident that it will be fixed properly. I'm sorry, but no matter how beautiful the final product, with service like that, you aren't making return customers.

Do not waist your hard earned money with Billy. We paid a small fortune for our kitchen and they did an incredibly sloppy job. Clearly, they have zero pride in thier work. Avoid them at all costs! "Quality" is something they know nothing about! They are an absolute DISASTER!

Our kitchen looks lovely; however, when grates for our very expensive sink were requested, Debbie said she was too busy to assist and that the sink was fine because it’s brushed. We waited weeks for our glass door inserts to be installed, but 7 months later and still no grates. Our sink is quite scratched from normal use.

I am a local custom home builder in the area. I have been dealing with Matt Labadie and Midwest Cabinets for approximately 15 years. My experience has been wonderful. The offerings of Brands, and styles within the brands, meet every customers budget and design challenges. Midwest is extremely generous with there time and very talented with there design skills. They know their product lines inside and out. I would recommend them to anyone considering purchasing new cabinetry. I send all my clients to Midwest exclusively.
