Melmerby Beach Provincial Park

Melmerby Beach Provincial Park

6380 Little Harbour Rd, Little Harbour, Nova Scotia, B0K 1G0, Canada
Ome of the most beautiful beaches in Nova Scotia, even Atlantic Canada. This beach is provincially funded and has public washrooms, change rooms and showers, along with a lifeguarded area. You can often watch people walking or running the beach which stretches over 2km. Usually has smaller waves as there is not much open ocean between Melmerby and Prince Edward Island, which tends to buffer waves unless there are high winds in the Northumberland Strait.

I went to white sands for the cavendish beach musical festival in 2018. First of all I would like to say that they were doing a great job of catching people sneaking into the campground to party. Often times people who got caught sneaking in would just buy a day pass for 40$ and hangout for the day. As long as u had their campground bracelet on they were understanding when it came to alcohol and partying. They usually had the noise shut down by 12:30. The shuttles were very efficient which was relieving. I went with an additional 3 people so we rented cabin 3 which is mean’t for 4 people. The cabin was very small and it included a pull out couch, a bed, a bathroom, and a very small kitchen spot. The shower was always cold but to be fair we were there during the concert weekend so we weren’t surprised. We paid $2072 for 4 nights but received $600 back which was the damage deposit. The cost is very high for what you get but the service was very good and the employees were very polite. My group broke our fan and so we bought a new one for them because we were worried they might take to much of the damage deposit but then we couldn’t build it for them because we didn’t have tools, therefore we explained the situation and they were awesome about it. We also had our picnic table snap due to it being old and they also apologized that they didn’t have an extra for us and they didn’t charge us any money out of our damage deposit. In conclusion if you are young and want to party go here for Cavendish beach music festival, if you just want to find a place to stay you could probably find better prices somewhere else.

Canada Day weekend - yes the seasonal people do their best (very, very friendly), but there really aren't any amenities. If you want peace and quiet, this place could be for you...we will be looking elsewhere.

This is the worst Park on Prince Edward Island. The electric is faulty, the sites are very unlevel. The owner is rude and speaks very little English. Only excepts cash so if you have a problem you have no recorse. We paid for 3 nights, electric kept dropping out, we could not get level, had front wheels off the ground about 8 inches and one back duel off the ground. We didn't feel good about that. We stayed one night and left. Owner would not refund any money. Restrooms smelled bad and were trashed out. U. S. Army Vet Larry Crook.
