I'm confused about MNP. We were told that our consultation would be at no charge. However, after meeting with MNP in Red Deer, a few weeks later we received a bill at over $1000.00. We were told that we had to pay for "extra time" that was spent looking into information about USA taxes, as my husband and I are American. Apparently the person who had had to investigate USA taxes for a corporation was well adversed with US taxes. If he was so knowledgeable then why did he need $1000.00 worth of his time to look information up for us? After their unwillingness to take a portion off our bill, we ended up paying this outrageous cost.
