Too much snow this time of year

What a great place to catch a good quick meal! I met Joe, the owner, and liked him right away. He reminded me a lot of my dad ☺ His food is home made and prepared right on the spot. I had the fish and chips. It's too bad that I was just stopping off or else I would have stayed to have my fish and chips as all I could eat because it was delicious! If I had a bigger appetite I would have also tried the burger, the pulled pork or the fried mushrooms! Oh well, I'll definitely be back! Oh! If you can get the ingredients to his "secret" seasoning mix, let me know...it was unbelievable!

GOLF SOMEWHERE ELSE. If I could give Banty's Roost 0 stars, I would. Unfortunately, to write a review, you have to give at least one. If you like extremely poor customer service, getting kicked off the course because Phil wants to shut down early (the website says the course closes at 9 - we got kicked off at 8:15), being verbally assaulted (again, by Phil), being told no-rainchecks only after paying, then Banty's Roost is for you! Honestly, this is the closest brush to racism I have ever experienced. Although an ethnic minority (not really, in the GTA), I was born and raised in Canada - along with the other gentlemen in our foursome - and I've never felt so unwelcomed in my life. I did not appreciate the sideways looks, the rude treatment, and the unprovoked attacks (yelling and cursing) that PHIL felt were necessary. I find it ironic that their website says "Since 1989 Banty's Roost has promoted itself as a club where everyone is welcome". Sure didn't feel like it! (Advice: read the review left by Davinder Hundal - this was similar to our experience). If Banty's Roost is serious about staying in business, they really should evaluate whether they have the right staff (ie. Phil, Steve) that align with their principles. Phil's poor treatment of PAYING customers is completely unwarranted, disgusting, and a poor reflection of the company. I will NEVER come back here again and would strongly advise anyone else to stay away. Reading the other Google Reviews of this place, I am not surprised to see other very poor experiences. Heed their advice. DO NOT GOLF HERE!!!!

Great people, food and prices.

Loved it. A+. My wife and I played Toot today while on our honeymoon and we could not have been happier. Pristine conditions, beautiful scenery, and a very quiet secluded feel to the course. Nice generous landing areas allowed us to hit fairway after fairway with ease, keeping the fun level very high. Greens weren't too tough but also not too easy. Bunkers may have had a bit too much sand in them/too deep but were in great shape and nicely raked. Now I feel spoiled and will have a hard time going back to my regular courses.

Lots of fun playing the east course. Tough last two holes.

Have been a few times for the batting cages, they are a little bit dated but the owner is super friendly.

We just had our wedding here and have nothing bad to say at all. Marcy and Scott were always available to answer all questions along the way. Extremely accommodating. Very open for meal choices, and quite easily the best chicken breast I've ever had. The staff was always there to help out, no one was waiting for their app main course or dessert to be served. All meals were fantastic with great portion size. Bar was very affordable for the guests. I would highly recommend for anyone to book their wedding here. Absolutely loved my experience here. We really can't thank Marcy and Scott enough.

Best golf course in the area by far. Every time I have played it the greens are perfect (fast, true, challenging). The clubhouse and facilities are first class and it is enhanced by a first class professional. This is the only club in the area I would consider joining

We visit Steph every Sunday for the kids golf clinic, the kids love it and her. The owners are wonderful people. Only place we like to golf!

What an incredible golf day. Shot my best round ever. Great service and hospitality. Breakfast sandwich was a steal at 4.95 I will be back.

Course was in good shape and they have a new double wide trailer!

My brothers and I have taken our Dad a couple times for his birthday and Father's day. Always been great for us!
