Mystic Golf Club
1707 Jerseyville Rd W, Hamilton, Ontario, L0R 1R0, Canada
This course is not for the novice or even a mid handicap player. 230 yard plus drives are a must. Alas I do not meet this requirement so I am going to save a lot of golf balls and play elsewhere.

The Oaks of St George Golf Club
269 German School Rd, Brant, Ontario, N3L 3E1, Canada
I played this course with my son last week and thought it was beautiful. 9 holes with nice elevation changes. The course was well manicured. My 2 complaints...the fairways were very narrow. This is the tightest course I have played in Ontario (and I have played well over 150 courses) They need to widen them. The other is that the course is not registered with golf Canada so I couldn't enter my score for my handicap. I called the course after and they said that they decided not to register with golf Canada for some reason!!! Apparently I did some research and it only costs a golf club $50-$100 per year!! Either way I will definitely play this course again!!

Paris Grand Golf and Country Club
150 Paris Links Rd, Brant, Ontario, N3L 3E2, Canada
Easily the worst golf course I've ever experienced.
Full disclosure: I've played Paris Grand in the past and find it a lovely course with nice views and variety of decent challenges but the course conditioning on Labour Day weekend were worse than a dog track in Texas.
First off, the staff was rude and unwelcoming. Carts that were reserved for the round were not available until 20 minutes AFTER our scheduled tee time, so we stood around like dogs and waited for a group to finish their round.
The course was in very poor shape: the tee decks uneven, no flat lie to tee, full of unpaired divots. Fairways were hard as a rock and dead grass in spots (how is that possible with the cool, wet summer we've had in southern Ontario?). The greens were the worst part -- deep ball marks, bumpy, slow, cups cut uneven. I could go on, alas...
I am happy this dog track will be turned into a housing development and we'll never be subjected to such horrid conditions again.
Good riddance, Paris Grand.
