I recently closed our home by Hn Homes. It is a gorgeous home. The quality of these home is very superior. What Hn calls standard in a home is and upgrade to most builders in Ottawa. The price may seem overpriced, but the architect (Christopher Simmonds) behind these modern designs is well known and as i'm learning architecture right now. Theses designs should be exemplars to other builders on how living today should be. The customer care is wonderful and you are guided along the way with a wonderful designer and lot coordinator. Thomas is amazing and can answer any questions you have. He is a very honest person! Would 100% recommend this build to anyone looking into buying a new home.

Their after sale service is the worst. Started back in 2014 when we rented a condo. The day of possession the condo was not ready and dirty with dust. The representative had to hire a third party company to clean it while we were waiting to move in with the truck full of our furniture.. we waited two hours. When we got in the condo we noticed that a lot of things were not finished as they were in construction holidays. I had to complain several times for them to come fix it and it took them two months to finish the condo. And I was pregnant while going through this stress I wanted everything to be perfect before my baby comes. We were on a rent to own. The representative assured us that by doing a rent to own we wouldn't be stuck buying the condo that we could upgrade to buying a house if we wanted to. So that is what we did. In 2018 we decided to buy a house with them despite everything that had happened. It was our only option since we already had a downpayment with them. If I knew I would have never signed the contract with them. So we decided to buy a house with then in 2018 and now we are having some issues with the ceiling leaking and toilets clogging all the time. We have tried for several month now to get in touch with someone and nobody answers. We have sent emails, we called. There are no follow ups. It has been since june that we moved in and we are now in October. All that's left to do is to involve lawyers and send them a notice to fix it and pay us compensation. THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY. NEVER AGAIN. I DONT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. BE AWARE

Not only were they able to provide our needs and desires but they far exceeded them. I highly recommend NDI and I would gladly work with them again.

We have been renting with Brigil for almost 2 years now. They have given given only horrible service in regards to taking care of their tenants,. FIRST: last year was our first winter with renting with Brigil and they put no effort in cleaning the walkway at all. I know neighbours who have complaint and i have also complain to them and nothing was done. They put buckets of salt in front of every door but its just not enough! they allow for a thick coat of ice to build that the walkway becomes a skating ring. Last year I've seen my neighbours fall trying to get to their homes, myself having a new born in my arms it was extremely dangerous but they didn't care. Now that winter is here i really hope they change this. SECOND: Renting with a company I hoped I wouldn't have to worry about my car being parked in the parking lot where its suppose to be. During winter last year my husband went to my car to find out it had been scratched deeply and dented by a small machine that removes the snow. how it goes it there is a wall my neighbours spot and then mine, my neighbours car was not there and this machine tried to fit itself between my car and the wall... who does this?? you shouldn't be doing that and NO there was no warning or any cleaning happening at all.. I know because i always always move my car.. I sent an email to brigil explaining what had happened , how i had now missed work to get this fixed and how i expect for them to take care of my stuff especially because I pay them I don't live here for free. I emailed them to inform them how this person who they hired to clean hit my car because by the marks it left he for sure felt the hit AND he just left my car like that & this looks bad on them (brigil). The response I received was like they didn't care at all!! and they mentioned how its best if i go through my insurance.... OF COURSE i am going through my insurance but an apology would of been nice! NOTHING ... i got absolutely nothing from them. LASTLY: The entrance to the parking ... There is cars parked along the side where it blocks cars from coming in and out at the same time there is a sign that say NO PARKING yet cars are parked there all the time some times they don't even more for days.. during winter it makes it hard for the cleaning truck to come in and clean.. Brigil should honestly get moving and do something about all this.. I don't pay to wait while the other car is getting in because we don't both fit at the same time when we should!

I have been involved with the owner-operators of Northwood Homes and Cottages now in several projects over the last decade or so. No finer, nicer, principled and professional people you'll ever meet. A joy to work with and be around. Looking forward, Annie and Mario, to our next project together.

Buyers Beware! Beyond awful after sales care. Terrible construction! On move in day, our house was beyond filthy. Hardwood floors were all scratched and pitted from trades walking on them. The paint job was horrible. Carpets were filthy. Windows are cheap and leak air after just a couple of years. We've been here for 10 years and are still fixing issues that this builder and the trades tried to hide behind the walls. We just had a flood in our family room (destroyed our hardwood floors), water rushed in from the fireplace insert and surround wall. What a mess once we pulled it out and found such shoddy work! The pipes in our laundry room freeze every year, this winter, they finally burst. Just discovered that the wall to the outside was never insulated. No wonder this house is so cold in the winter!! I could go on and on... Save your $$$ and sanity, don't buy Phoenix!!!!
