This is what a Design Innovation home looks like after 10 years. More like a nightmare Builder!! It's interesting that the only good review is from someone that has a vested interest and works with this home builder. Where are all the satisfied home owner reviews?

I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with my experience with Ezra on Riley (Birchwood). Having purchased a new home before with Cedarglen, I am familiar with a better level of customer service on how deficiencies and warranty items are handled. First, my previous home had a lot fewer deficiencies and it was a 2500 square foot house. The deficiencies that were found were handled promptly and did not create further damage to the property. At Ezra on Riley (Birchwood), in a 525 square foot condo, it has been a completely different experience. I took possession in May (2018) and had a list of items that were to be addressed BEFORE possession. When I showed up on possession day, several items were not addressed or very poorly completed. For example, a floor board that was lifting was just hammered in, leaving a large dent. The ceiling had cracks in them and were just patched over with no texturing. They told me that they would fix these items after I was finished moving in. This has still not been done. One of the biggest issues we had was with the air conditioning not working which took several follow ups on my part, escalating the issue to management, and several appointments. In a record hot summer, being without air conditioning in a condo where you paid for air conditioning is something you want resolved quickly. We are still not sure if it's working because it's no longer required with the cooler weather. My biggest complaint is the dismissal of concerns or completely ignoring emails of supposed professionals and management. I did not pay a premium on a condo to be told that my standards do not matter, that sub-par work is "within tolerance", or that I just need to learn how to use the thermostat (this wasn't the issue). We have spoken with some of our neighbours and they have had similar issues so I am well aware that I am not the only one. Do not buy a condo here unless you get every deficiency and how it will be addressed in writing, in your purchase contract, before you sign to purchase. Deficiencies are normal in a new build but you want a company that has a high degree of accountability and addresses them promptly. Some things to watch out for: -Air conditioning system works -Ceiling cracks -Flooring dents -Scratches on windows -Bathroom shower tile misplacement -Appliances working (especially washer & dryer)

Bad construction. No workmanship.

The builder was not cooperative.

Do not deal with Brenda, she's rude and oboxius. We ended up going to one of their competitors in the subdivision. We made the right choice. Another family member is looking to build, we thought we would give Ironstone another chance, but nope Brenda still has that same negative attitude. So avoid this builder at all cost!
