Absolutely HORRIBLE!! We have been trying to payout our second mortgage since nov 9/16. She has had 3 weeks prior to prepare the payout. We had a closing day of nov 9, Received NOTHING. then we tried to close on the 17th, then 18th and so on. It is now nov 23 and no further ahead. Our lawyer have tried to contact her numerous times.Does not return emails or phone calls. Whenever she does decide to get back to us, she sends a payout statement that is totally wrong, The numbers DON'T even match up!!..She sent a payout last week of $4000 then later that day she sent one for $8000.. HUH!! My lawyer called and asked what she was doing, She said she had no recollection of doing it.. REALLY!!!! $52000 loan, made payments of $30,000 , $4,000 and $14,500... With $608.85 a month payments for a yr.. Do the math. We also have a first mortgage that was to be paid out on the 9th, It is $264,000 with 4.25 interest rate that we are still paying because we are to payout both at once. She has had 5 weeks now to prepare a payout statement, our money has gone back to the bank and she DON'T CARE!!!!! ..This is a 12.99 % interest loan, All we want to do is pay it off and get on with our lives!... I WILL be putting in a complaint with the " Law Society Of Upper Canada" Would rather No star , But had no choice!

If you want a "yes" man as a lawyer, you've come to the right place. Forget about paying for expert legal service, as you should expect to read over your own legal documents to ensure everything is in order. I had to look through my legal documents to discover that I had signed a "binding" contract that was in reality null and void because I signed a week after it was due. I was literally told by T.J. that I was bound to a contract when the Irrevocably Clause clearly stated if signed after the specified date it was null and void. Needless to say, pay a little more money and get much better service and peace of mind. You don't want to double-check your lawyer's work do you? If you do select T.J. get everything he says in writing and signed by him. Protect yourself, as I didn't feel protected given his "word".
