Martial Arts

This is an OUTSTANDING martial arts school!!! Mr. Miran and his instructors really take the time getting to know each student and build them up physically and mentally. Mr. Miran gives life lessons at the end of the class, tying martial arts into the betterment of his students' overall lives. I truly respect these instructors and am so glad that I chose this martial arts school. This school offers a wide range of martial arts and various class times. I would highly recommend this school!!!

US Taekwondo Center is an outstanding dojo filled with so many caring and generous people. I have been doing Taekwondo for ten years now and I am a third degree black belt. After my previous Taekwondo school closed down, I spent a long time looking for a dojo that was similar to what I had learned at that Taekwondo school.Everyone at USTC was so welcoming when I first arrived and now everyone feels like a part of my family. Ms. Gail is the most caring and hard working Taekwondo administrator that I have ever met. She always listens to what I have to say and is such a positive and kind person. Master Lee is the greatest master that I have ever known. He has not only taught me new taekwondo concepts but he has also taught me leadership skills. I am so happy that Master Lee told me about USTC and that I decided to come here. Myself, and the other instructors at USTC are super hard working, caring, and great role models to everyone who attends USTC. So, if you are looking for a taekwondo dojo that has some positive and uplifting people, USTC is the dojo to join!!! I don't know where I would be right now if it were not for Master Lee and Ms. Gail. I am very thankful to be a member of the USTC demo team and an instructor! Come in to US Taekwondo Center and join the family!😊

My son (11 years old) has been taking MMA at Outfox for 4 years. My daughter (10 years old) has been there a little over a year now. I also have recently begun training again earlier this year. I can’t say enough good things about this MMA gym. All of the instructors are knowledgeable and very passionate about their training. They instill that knowledge and passion into their students. Me and my kids love training there. If you’re looking to get in shape and learn great self-defense I highly recommend you join this gym. Everyone here is very professional from the staff and instructors to the students themselves. Everyone is always willing to share their knowledge with each other. I have always had a passion for MMA and this gym allows me to train like the pros. I am honored and privileged to be able to train here.

There are no words I have that could describe the difference that Master Cielo and KTMA made on me and on my life. When I was a kid, lost and confused and burdened by life, I came to know KMTA and found some sort of semblance and peace. When I was a teenager, full of myself and pretensious, I struggled and was reminded of that peace by Master Cielo, and was humbled. When I was a young adult, proud, ambitious and reckless, I was reminded of the Character of a King that comes, with the Strength of a Tiger and I was again humbled. Today I am an engineer in the constructon field, managing both contractors filled with pride in their work, resistant to change as well as office sloths, resistant to any answer other then, "You're right." and I work constantly to unite them. This place is truly and unequivocally, a diamond of a place to build foundation and structure into a human being, while providing the humanity necessary to function in any setting! CHA-RYUT!!

As an adult that has never done martial arts, I was nervous about my ability to learn, develop, and keep up in taekwondo. However, I have had a wonderful experience and have found that the instructors cater to my learning style, skill and pace. The classes are great motivators for exercising as they provide excellent structure as well as attainable goals (belts, tournaments, personal health, meeting new people, etc.). The various class times are also conducive to my hectic schedule. Lastly, but not least, I feel more confident in my ability to protect/defend myself as a female---something that I think all women should be able to say.

Love the instructors and their patience and willingness to work with people with various disabilities. It has been a year and a half, and I've seen the change in both my kids.

Tora Martial Arts is a great place to train, whether you're an experienced martial artist or a beginner looking for self defense & a good workout. I've trained with Tom (instructor) for 5 years now, and I've gained the confidence that comes with knowing how to defend myself, as well as a love for the martial arts.

Incredible experience working out with this teacher

I was enrolled as a student when I was a child. These awesome instructors helped me become physically and mentally strong & prepared at a young age with highly valuable education and experience.

Mr. Carter is a true World Champion Martial Artist. His passion for the art is only surpassed by his dedication to the education of his students. Mr.Carters students ages range from Pre-K to those in the advanced years as well as those with disabilities. I have been tought in schools from Alabama to Colonial Heights and I've never met a more sincere individual in my life. Mr.Ewell Carter will not settle for nothing less than perfection. My daughter Who had been tought by her older sisters to be disrespectful has learned to respect herself and others thanks to Mr Carter and her karate is better than mine ever was. This is not a buy a belt school as most others found in V.A. but a real first class World Champion dojo so if you want to be the best you can be look no further this is it.

There is such a true dojo family atmosphere here. Everyone is here to learn, no one there to show off. Everyone helps everyone get better. If you want to learn a very practical martial art that teaches you to use your body more efficiently against any opponent, this is a great place to get started.

Kyoshi is absolutely amazing! Toygh, but patient!
