Great place for martial arts and working out

I was looking for something fun for my son, and also maybe teach a little disciple too. Fast forward a year, and my family of 5 is all taking classes. I cannot say enough good about Tiger Rock, the Keetons (owners), and all the instructors. They truly care, not just about teaching taekwondo, but teaching kids important life lessons. My kids aren't just learning taekwondo. They are building their confidence, learning self defense, working hard, and loving it! Love that its something we can all do together as a family.

I found KSK because I wanted to learn self defense. I wanted to have confidence in my ability to defend myself. From the moment I walked into KSK I felt welcomed and safe! I have been at KSK for about a year now and I have never felt unsafe while training. It was never my plan to be here this long, I just wanted to learn a few self defense moves and then be on my way. But life has a way of turning your course and I found myself not only loving the training, but becoming a part of a new family. I have never been made fun of or put down if I am not at a set level or if I am struggling with a new skill. The instructors are patient and help you fit the new skill to your abilities. One of the things I love the most about KSK is that everyone there really and truly cares for one another. Guro Kent has been amazing and cares about you as a person and not just when you step onto the mats. Whether you want to train in martial arts, improve your health, or just want to learn to defend yourself, the KSK family is waiting for you!

This is a fantastic place. Both my grade-school-age kids go here. The karate instruction is first-rate; Sensei Mark McCloud and his instructors are the real deal. If you're looking for the opportunity for yourself or your kids to achieve true excellence (which is rare), look no farther. They're also great if your goal is just to learn some karate, get some exercise and have fun. The dojo is a great, supportive environment for kids (and adults) of all ages and abilities, and the instructors emphasize and reinforce the development of good character, such as treating others with respect, doing homework and chores, etc., which is an important part of true, traditional martial art instruction. The dojo instructors maintain class discipline well, gently but firmly. This is not the case in all dojos... but it's important for the kids to learn karate properly. The dojo also has lots of kid-friendly events, like kids' nights and day camps, where kids get to learn karate and play (and watch a movie and eat pizza, on kids' nights) in a fun and safe environment. We are so fortunate to have this dojo near us. I recommend this dojo in the highest terms.

Seeing the kids interact with one another with such respect, while smiling - made me fall in love with this space! Plus Zumba, pound and yoga! Great space for the whole family.
