Optometrist

Enjoyed my experience with them, the optometrist was very friendly and seemed to really care about my needs regarding my astigmatism. Took me a long time to finally find an optometrist seems like they care about their patients well being.

when I have gone to get my eyes checked its been fine, but the last few times I've gone in I have had nothing but rude workers. I go there to buy glasses cases, and parts and accessories for my glasses, sunglasses clips etc, though I don't buy my actual glasses there. I find it too expensive. But the way I see it is that I am still a paying customer, and just because I haven't bought my glasses through you, does not mean you can be snotty and rude to me. I was so disgusted by the customer service. If it wasn't so close to my home, I wouldn't be going again. I left there without buying anything this last time because the lady thereade me feel so small and horrible for purchasing my lenses elsewhere. Like, "we are too good for you here" sort of attitude... Not impressed.

I would give less than one star if I could. I called specifically to ask if they direct bill, and received confirmation that not only do they direct bill, but that they can do so for both of my insurance plans. Imagine the surprise on the day of my appointment when they request payment because they do not, in fact, direct bill - they merely submit a claim on your behalf and will require payment at the appointment (approx $139). Had I known, I would have booked with a more reasonably priced doctor, or searched out one capable of comprehending a concept as simple as direct billing. Exercise caution and ensure you have cash on hand if dealing with this place because they are either not terribly intelligent or not very honest when making appointments by phone.

My wife and me went in to see about our current glasses and we waited Patiently and the lady said she would be right with us and when she was done with the customer she was dealing with looked at my wife and me and a man walked in and she went right to her and skipped us all together like we where not even there , I can't stand being ignored so if you want a bad customer experience come hear what a waist of time , they won't be seeing me future Business .

Dr. Samborski is absolutely wonderful. He's fantastic with kids. I have a 2 year old and 5 year old and he checked both kids without either of them getting up set. Customer service is also impeccable.

Dr. Livingstone is a gentle, caring, concerned and knowledgeable Doctor. I would recommend him highly!

Dr.Benji was awesome! Super nice guy! Younger optomistrist with 6 years experience, but found him super knowledgeable. He answered all my questions! The younger part is great because he won’t be retiring any time soon! :) Thanks so much for the great experience at my exam!

I got something in my eye which was hurting like hell. Unsuccessfully, I went to three closed walk-in clinics and a pharmacy which could not help. Desperately walked in Village Optical to ask for help. It's Friday afternoon, a bit after 5pm and all the doctors are either left or leaving. Dr. Loewen was kind enough to stay and check my eye. Patently, she found a tiny metallic piece in my eye and successfully took it out. This meant a lot to me. Thank you for your care and professionalism. This piece could have stayed much longer in my eye resulting in serious further damages.

What are the opticians hours every time I go there to have my glasses adjusted they are gone or only the sales lady is there and she can't adjust glasses....?

The doctors and staff were polite, friendly, and professional. Mid size selection of frames.

Dr Mulhall is super patient and helpful when it comes to figuring out the right prescription for you. He's also friendly and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable or awkward like a few other optometrists I've been to. He also explains what he's doing and makes sure that you understand your eyes and prescription.

Slow at answering emails for appointments

this is the worst experience i have ever had. I got my glasses in November I have had them adjusted 5 times, or more at 3 of the superstores. THE ONE on gateway rd is the worst place i have ever been too , I CAN NOT SEE WITH THEM. she told me I should go back to the optometrist I don't think so. So I guess. I'M out 476.50 dollars THANK YOU VERY MUCH

If I could give the optical here 0 stars I would . Trying to schedule an eye exam is an absolute nightmare . They rarely pick up the phone and when they do they put you on hold ... after 20 minutes on hold I hung up . Tried back later on in the morning and finally got through to someone ... unfortunately their eye exam scheduling system was down so the lady took down my information and said she would call me back in a few minutes ... it's been hours with no call back . I will take my business elsewhere .
