Private Schools

It's a disaster! I'm glad I had a chance to attend a mini open house and see how kids being taught. I spent almost an hour there and all this time I saw kids with ipods and laptops everywhere! Teachers sit in their corners and kids work with some apps. Kids do not talk to each other, I did not see teachers walking and explaining something like i saw in the other schools. And this is starting the age 5. I asked if kids were actually learning how to communicate, how to write and how much time they spend attached to the screen. I was told it's 50:50. Parents, your kids will spend up to 4 hours a day with ipods, will come home and do the same. And then we ask why do they have headaches, blurred vision, they don"t want to talk or share. Why? They have an ipod! When I visited another very expensive private school and asked how much time they spend working with apps, the principle was surprised - not more than 1 hour per day at this early age!!! They have to develop social skills, spend time outside, draw, imagine, etc. At the end it does not matter how well your kid knows art or history if by the time he graduates he has tons of health issues and his best friend is ipod.

This school was so bad it gave me a disease I wish you can give 0 stars

My friend went there and they are very good and nice but NOT so strict.very nice school a definite 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Is Edgewater a good school? Yes, of course ONLY IF: 1) Your child or your children have an IQ above 150, so they don't annoy the teachers with their questions or when they're struggling. 2) Your child or children are GIRLS (because all boys supposedly have ADHD and should be on medication). They obviously have a soft spot for girls. 3) If you're a stay-at-home Mom and you have nothing else in the world to do then volunteering to every single extra curricular activity (this way your kids might get more attention from the teacher and get more pictures posted on Facebook). 4) You're part of a Mom Clique (very helpful!) as one of the moms, might know someone who works there and she can pull the strings and make sure your kids are in the same classroom as their BFF (Remember, it's all about GOOD connections!) 5) If you like filling up parental consent forms over....and over...until the Amazon has no trees left, when they can just send an email. That's pretty much it.

It's a good Scholl no gang members and no drugs.

I was here from grade 2 up until I graduated. Im now in grade 8 but I forgot to write a review. Honestly, this school was not that good. the teachers were so rude, and I think one time in 5th grade, I got in trouble and sent out of the glass for tipping over my eraser and making too much noise. bad teachers, but I had one of the greatest friends I will ever meet there.
