Great school

Berkeley Carroll has so many good points! Academics, social, and sports all EXCELLENT! Son (and parents) are 100% happy! The music program is a national standout! Dr. Holsberg is motivating, tough and fun with his dry sense of humor the kids love! As a parent, I like that my 6th grade son and all other 5/6th graders must study an instrument! Expanding the brain by learning music is a critical factor in brain plasticity and growth.

It's good :D

Awesome school I went there for 8 years of my life and overall I think it's amazing school you get to play outside with there over 200 acres of land. They have cross country skiing there and all sorts of fun stuff! The camp during the summer is awesome too.

Discovery Academy is a terrific school. The teachers, as well as the principal, are excellent at teaching, they are supportive and understanding. If your child is having problems with understanding a subject, he or she will immediately receive help and needed knowledge. My daughter was having problems with mathematics, so Ms. Marina explained everything clearly and effectively, without additional charges. Parents will always be notified by email about their child's absence, marks, events, and even if their kid is late. Even during the pandemic, students are keeping up with their subjects and are still having lessons with discussions, debates, tests, quizzes, and homework. Sincerely recommend this school.

My days at UMEI were great they were one of the best days of my life and still when I walk in to that building I still feel at home. The students at UMEI are very great students who always great me when I enter. The teachers and students at UMEI make this school a very great environment to have fun and just to be there. I am very glad that I went to UMEI it made a great change in my life it taught me many things and all of these things I will remember for the rest of my life. I hope that UMEI will continue to teach young students with pride and joy.

Montessori School of Dayton is a truly wonderful community school. My daughters have attended the school for the past four years, and due to the excellence of the school, we plan on both finishing their elementary and middle school years here. My children are so happy with and love their school community and excellent teachers. Montessori is a clear and effective antidote to the problems associated with traditional education, and this school in particular provides a kind and nurturing environment for children to grow and learn in according to their own interests and individual capacities, not the dictates of high pressure testing and relentless progress through curriculum that has little relationship to what is age appropriate for children. The school is a full member of the American Montessori Society, which speaks to the high degree of fidelity to the Montessori philosophy, method and materials that is so clearly evident at the school. Additionally, I feel compelled to mention that the music program is fantastic! In sum, If you are even remotely considering enrolling your child in a Montessori program or private school, then I urge you to make an appointment to visit this outstanding school.

We are so pleased with Guardian's church and school! We recommend the school to our friends all of the time. When you take a tour you can quickly see the diference of this school compared to others. They have Pre-K through 8th grade and all of the rooms just got Smart Boards last year. My daughter who is sitting with me right now says "this is an awesome year" for her :-) I am a public school teacher and I love what I see happening there! They have small class sizes between 18-22 students, obviously caring creative teachers and a deep commitment to technology and most of all Christian education. I personally know as a teacher that their scores on the Iowa tests and curriculum out score others and this is a clear indicator of success. Forgive me for getting all teacher-ish :-) The school has students from many of the other local churches and many parents who just want a safer and more rigorous environment for their child. I hope this helps! Look me up sometime if you want more info.
