The Alpha School has long had a strong, hands-on science program, and in recent years has done even more to bring technology and true experimentation into the classroom, as well as challenge students to think creatively and critically. STEM and Robotics have regular places in the curriculum and there are a variety of after-school programs exploring these as well. We've also found it to be a warm, supportive community with a culture of service and respect for others.

The following are notes written to the Center that we are proud to share: I have many friends who often tell me about the terrible experiences at their day care. Being a teacher, It was very important to me to find a center for my children where they could learn and acquire developmental skills that were appropriate for their age. I have two children and therefore have been with Orion for almost five years now and it has been the best decision I could have ever made for my children. It is such a relief to know that I am leaving my child in a safe and caring environment where the emphasis is on sharing and being a good friend. Not to mention their enriching curriculum at every stage. Upon entering Kindergarten, my son was so well prepared due to the wonderful job that the teachers at Orion did with him. I love that Orion has a private outdoor area that is safe and fun for my child to play in. Orion also offers a flexible schedule with many options to choose from. I know when I was looking at other daycares many of them only offered full time. I highly recommend Orion Child Development Center to anyone who is exploring the option for day care, pre-school or pre-kindergarten. Brea The greatest assets the daycare has to offer is the staff. The staff are very caring and loving. They do not treat the children in a cookie cutter environment. The children are obviously loved and treated individually with love and understanding. You can have the most modern school, the best toys, rules to satisfy everyone, but if you do not have caring, nurturing staff that are loving and giving, recognizing each child as an individual with individual needs then you just have a cookie cutter environment. The staff I found here are extremely special. I just do not hear other parents at other day cares expressing the value of the staff. My granddaughter spends 6 to 8 hours a day here, the people who care for her have a strong influence on her values and personality. I feel she is in a thirving environment. I feel my children have had loving nurturing care. From infant years through to the pre-k years, it has been exciting to watch them learn and grow. Orion has been one of the biggest influences on their lives. They are well prepared for their schooling and social lives. As a parent, I have always felt comfortable and at ease knowing that my children were taken care of so well. Please let us know if anyone needs a reference for childcare. My son has come so far since starting at St. Peter's. He loves school again and his academics have improved. I love that the boys work at their own level for each subject and that they have Phys Ed every day. It was the best choice I've ever made to send my son to St. Peter's ACHS.

I benn there since pre school in kindegarten then i left now im coming bc to the 6 so i dont know how the school is

A wonderful school... Smaller classes mean more individualized attention. Smaller class sizes also enable more depth in discussions and the opportunity to learn more deeply about subjects.

Great teachers; our daughter has really enjoyed Blyth!
