Island Roofing, in Port Alberni == September 24th 2015, fixed my leaky camper roof and promised to stop by and check how the material was curing, and did not show up. I received no receipt for the $160.00 cash I paid him for the job, and two day later it is pouring rain, and there is water running into my camper. Called Mackenzie Roofing for an estimate for our flat roof. We were changing from a tar and gravel to a torch on roof. I found that they had great customer service, were quick with an estimate and ensured all my questions were answered. They were more affordable than some of the other estimates we had, used quality product, and the final bill was right on par with the quote. They added a down spout and changed the rusted gutter systems and still came in at the quote price and left the place clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend them.

I had a roof put on my house in 2007. I have been dealing with basically everybody in this company since October of 2016. My roof has completely disintegrated. I have gone from being told they will fully cover my roof in October to being told there is nothing they will do. Please be aware when you are getting a shingle roof that your shingles are pro-rated and they only give a 5 year warranty on labor for a reason. I do not want to give any star but it will not let me post without one.

This guy used caulking to seal a steel roof I contracted him to do, the caulking was UV exposed and therefor is guaranteed to fail , when I informed him this practice was unacceptable he threatened to put a lien on my clients house and create drama for me. To protect my good reputation in the Comox valley, I paid him and hired a quality roofer to redo his terrible work. Only hire this guy if you have very low standards.

Called for roofing quote. He inspected roof. Knew he was busy so didn't expect quote immediately. Heard nothing for a month. Called the owner of the company who I initially talked to and he said he "forgot" and would put quote together shortly. 2 months later and I still have no quote and has not returned any of my voicemails that I have left to inquire about the quote he was going to provide.
