Camp

Purchased our Palomino S172 ultra-light. Nice unit. Customer service is great. Promptly corrected billing error on purchase invoice. Treat you like family. They are there to help and answer questions, as we are first time owners. Special thanks to Pat, René and Michel in service. Anne and Michel

Very nice, quiet campground. We stayed at the Bobolink cabin for three nights. The cabin and grass area was very clean upon arrival. Refrigerator, microwave, toaster and gas BBQ are available for use. Guests need to bring their own bedding, plates, cups, utensils, and BBQ tools (including lighter). The cabin isn't very large but it was comfortable for 4 people. There is one bedroom with a bunk and a queen bed. The common kitchen and dining area also has a futon. If the weather plans to be hot and humid, consider bringing a fan or two. The cabin does get very hot. Both rooms have ceiling fans but they didn't help much with the heat or or air flow. I think the park could invest in a window fan to help on those hotter days. There seemed to be an issue with ants in this cabin. Bugs are to be expected in the outdoors but these ants were everywhere. We had to take extra care with food storage and tried to sweep them out as best as we could. An enjoyable stay that we look forward to every summer.

Incredible place!

We have been coming to Kittawa since 2003 and now have a seasonal site. We have had the experience of both the previous owners and now the new owners. Although the previous owners were set in their ways and sometimes hard to deal with, all in all the were nice people. The new owners (Joel & Joanne ) are wonderful people and have put their heart and soul into bringing the Campground back to life. A day doesn't go by without seeing up-grades being done. The infrastructure was in dire need of up-dating and they have spent countless dollars and time doing just that. Both of us are serving members of the Military and have travelled from BC to NFLD and camped the entire way and we must say that Kittawa is one of the nicest campground we have stayed at. Being a seasonal camper we have the advantage of seeing many weekend campers come and go and we are always so impressed on the positive comments and feed backs we hear from them. Yes, there is the odd unhappy camper but every Campground has rules and regulations and if you follow them your stay at Kittawa will be without a doubt a wonderful stay. Great camping on this small island. Like the grass underfoot and tall trees with long boughs for shade. Clean, no highway traffic sound and lots of birds around. Have never seen a raccoon only skunks.

Park was nice and quiet. Some staff not overly friendly, and showers could use an update. The store ran out of ice but was restocked by next day. All in all it was a good experience!

Great place for kids. This is a one week sleep away camp. Counselors and staff are amazing and very energetic! My kids had blast.

I think the Township of South stormmont was very helpful. I every much injoy the small town feel the Township office has to office. I got some answers from by-laws officer and fire deptment. there website is also a great place to get information.
