I had a consultation with Dr. O’Neill in August. The next step was to get pre-authorization from my insurance company, which his office would take care of. I received a letter from the insurance company authorizing the surgery. I called Dr. O’Neill’s office and was told the Scheduler would contact me. Three months later and four more unreturned calls to his office, I have decided to go with another Doctor. Dr. O’Neill may or may not be a good surgeon, I do not know. But I figure he is only as good as the staff that supports him.

Doctors themselves are great. Office staff, however, are completely rude and at times mocking, even as you’re just trying to explain the reason for your call. It always takes over 2 hours to return calls, even when there might be a medical concern from a patient. And that’s IF you even get a call back. These things have happened every single time I call. If I could, I would go somewhere else from the treatment of the office staff alone. It’s one thing to be really busy - that can be understood - but there is absolutely no reason to be so disgustingly rude to patients.
