I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Whidden, his medical and administrative teams and his new Calgary hospital. Together, they make this relatively unpleasant experience as pleasant as could be. From the front reception, anesthesiologist, nurses that take care of you before and after surgery and at follow-up appts and Dr. Whidden himself, everyone is so professional & knowledgeable, yet compassionate, supportive and empathetic – always considerate of the fact that you are nervous, somewhat shy and a bit emotional. The new hospital (opened a few years ago) on MacLeod trail is beautiful and welcoming. My first visit to Dr. Whidden was over 10 years ago. He came highly recommended by close friends and (so many) acquaintances for breast augmentation (implants) so I booked my consult with him. I had a very athletic physique at that time and just wanted to look a bit more feminine (but still natural). He spent a lot of time explaining the procedure and letting me know what to expect. I had the breast augmentation (sub-pectoral/under the muscle) a couple of months later and due to the fact that I had so much muscle tissue (due to years of weight training), my results were not symmetrical (thick muscle was pushing one of the implants further down than expected). Obviously I was upset about this but Dr. Whidden kindly assured me that he could correct this – and although it wasn’t his fault, he did the corrective surgery soon after at no additional cost to me. Some people may think this is a negative thing but I know others who have not taken my advice (recently) and have gone outside of the city to have breast augmentation surgery with another well-known surgeon and were not happy with the results and there was no subsequent help provided. My results, on the other hand, were perfect after the corrective surgery. Fast forward 10 years (after having my kids) and I’ve seen Dr. Whidden and his team a few more times, for breast reduction/lift (smaller implant replacement) and for abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and to remove a cyst that formed on my lip (after having my tooth go through the inside). While he may be a bit more expensive than some other surgeons, there was NO hesitation on my part given my past experience with him – Dr. Whidden is definitely a perfectionist… exactly what everyone wants when it comes to surgeries performed on their bodies, right?! There was no one else I could trust to do such an impeccable job on these areas – my results have been life-changing. Again, I have a friend who did not take my advice to see Dr. Whidden and she went elsewhere for her tummy tuck and she now has issues with her ‘new’ belly button – my ‘new’ belly button looks very natural – this is not an easy task. What I probably like most about Dr. Whidden are his ethical standards. I know he has age & weight restrictions on certain surgeries (thankfully) and I’ve talked to him about other cosmetic surgeries that I was interested in and he just won’t do them as he knows the results are not consistent or as good as expected (due to gravity, and our natural activity – not due to a surgeon’s skill). I appreciate that he’s honest about surgery limitations and the outcomes and it’s saved me a lot of money - knowing his opinion has prevented me from looking elsewhere for another surgeon to perform the procedure. I like that he’s not just trying to book surgeries and make money (without the benefit to the client)… I respect that he actually cares about people and providing quality procedures – it’s how he has built his clientele to what it is today. I highly recommend Dr. Whidden for any cosmetic procedure – you will get the results you want.

Dr. Louie is amazing! All the way from the receptionist to the doctor to the nurses in the surgical unit he works out of. 1 week post op and cant wait to see what my breast eill look like in 2 months once scars are healed. Recommend everything i needed to get and got the implants i wanted too. Already had implants done 6 months ago and not as happy as i am now! So very very thankful. They look amazing!

I was referred to riegel by Dr A Sharfenburger. She is my ankle replacement Dr. She is wonderfull. I was under riegels care for almost 4 months. During the third month he did a skin graft to make the existing wound heal. In the third week, on my weekly visit to the Kaye clinic I asked him why the graft was so white. He said it is because of the discharge and it's fine. On his instruction, I was to see the wound Care clinic in stony plain every second day. So two days after I saw him the nurse at the clinic said the skin graft is dead, that's why it's white. She removed the dead skin and said she'd contact riegel. In the mean time I was told I had staph infection. Dr Riegel said " come back in a week" since the day I started to see him. He saw my wound getting worse each week. I would say in my opinion that his heart isn't in his work. I am never going back to him again, which is what I explained to Dr Sharfenburger. I have been referred to another plastic surgeon by my Dr. Riegel is all smiles and seems confident but if you pay attention to the staff around him they look nervous. He was so rough with the anisthetic needle as he prepared for my skin graft I was asked twice by the nurse if I was ok which I said I was because I was too scared to say anything else. Dr Riegel, when you read this know that you should not be doing what your doing today. Do something that your good at. This is my experience with this fake surgeon.

My identical twin sister Kati was operated for a breast “trap flap” by Dr. Ladak. Month before the operation, dr. Ladak requested a CT scan for Kati, where the results showed that she has a colon thickening. On the CT report was recommended a check up and a follow up of the colon thickening because is suspected for cancer. Dr. Ladak decision was not to tel Kati about those alarming results and not even to her family physician. He proceeds with the operation which accelerated the cancer process and as a result, 6 months after the operation my twin sister passed away from colon cancer. I complained to CPSA and now we are waiting for a court Hearing that was recommended by CPSA. My life and my sister children life is was changed forever.

The staff and doctors do everything possible to make your experience as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The doctors have an eye for esthetics and will help negotiate an approach that suits your needs and brings you closer to your goal, all while minding your budget.

I visited Barry Lycka's office for a mole removal. He did a sufficient job, although I feel his staff were far more helpful then he was as any interaction I have had with him is VERY brief. I felt like each visit was rushed and my problems were not necessarily cared about/listened to. I have since visited another dermatologist regarding an ongoing problem with acne, which has been resolved without the use of Accutaine, which Dr. Lycka had recommended. Overall, I felt like appointments were rushed and mostly dealt with by Dr. Lycka's staff who, to be fair, are all very helpful and friendly. Wasn't what I was looking for in a dermatologist.

Had an amazing experience! Dr Chong IS an amazing surgeon. I felt I was well informed by Michelle and the rest of his staff. I felt very at ease, and I am so happy with the results. I would recommend Dr. Chong to anyone thinking about plastic surgery. 😊

Such an amazing doctor, I highly recommend. The only thing is the address on google is incorrect and the woman who answers the phone is rude.

I had a breast augmentation and blephaoplasty (upper eyelid) surgery with Dr. Ball. Dr. Ball has the right combination of being straight to the point and patience. While deciding on my breast augmentation post having children, I was frustrated with other surgeons who encourage excessively large implants in mothers. Dr. Ball ensures that you are making the decision for only yourself and not for anyone else and fully supports more natural looking breasts for your or whatever size "you" are comfortable with. It has been almost 3 years since my breast augmentation and I'm still just as happy with the results as I was immediately after. I have no regrets and I forget that I had an augmentation because they feel like such a part of me. The blepharoplasty was a breeze and I couldn't be more happy with the results. Such a quick and painless surgery with immediate and natural results. Dr. Ball's clinic and team are also great and make the experience stress free.

Tracy was so helpful, not only prior to surgery in her thorough explanation, but also post operatively. I was made to feel very comfortable and would consider the experience to be one of quality.

The best experience ever! I was nervous about getting my nose done now I can't stop looking at how awesome of a job Dr Keohane did! The staff are amazing, funny and very welcoming! The surgery went awesome, a awoke to caring people. I didn't have any pain at all. Dr Keohane told me exactly what he could deliver and he did just that! I love my new nose, I love the relationship I have with this office and I plan on getting a few other services done as well. To anyone thinking about going through Dr Keohanes office my advice is let his office be your one stop shop you won't regret it!
