I have been going to hasinas belly dancing class for a few weeks now and it is so much fun!! Hasina js a very enthusiastic teacher with a beautiful positive energy, I highly recommend her classes to everyone!

Great place with lots of different classes for all ages and capabilities. Staff very friendly and really passionate about what they do.

I attended the beginners' singing course at the Umbrella Rooms and would highly recommend. Elliot is such a great teacher. When I first saw him I thought: wow he’s young, then immediately thought - young and talented and a great teacher! He’s so positive and clear and I really felt my singing improved.

This should be, and was for years, a 5 star review. It has been withdrawn. I can no longer recommend this business to anyone. Business ethics?.....I no longer find their policies palitable as maximising income seems to have swamped all sence of a balanced decency and fairness towards others. Does business really have to be so hard and brutal? Can we not find a better way, hold dear the ideals of correct, fair and equal treatment of others and yet be successful? All businesses have a right to their 'Terms and Conditions of Trade' and the right to move on and discard the no longer useful but when people's livelihoods are involved standards of decency and acknowledgement of the gravity of such action used to be generally expected. Recently they failed utterly in this duty of care to other human beings...to me and to my 9 classes and130 students and to other independent teachers and their students ...3 term -time weeks notice, just before Xmas, to quit for January and, in the case of my school, this after 11 years of what I believed to be a business association. Being told Urdang is expanding and yet finding the U2 studios empty on Saturdays...being told all bookings are subject to cancellation (?!)...being pushed into smaller and smaller studios...does not constitute a proper period of notice...just makes one contact the legal help line for advice. Also ...foolish me...whatever happened to the ruling that Urdang was to supply classes of interest to the local community? Formal written notice should have been given 6 months ago to enable us to find new premises in time. I can see the risk in that but this inhumanity and this throwing away of human skill and endeavour brings a great sadness into my heart. My school endures as does my spirit...but I'm tough and resourceful. Not everyone is in the midst of such a set-back. Is this the kind of brutal society we are willing to settle for? Excellent studio performance of works" In the making" Friendly atmosphere with very talented dancers showing what they are preparing for the year to come.

I dance ballet and really needed flexibility training in addition to the technical training - had a class at London Dance Academy and it was wonderful. The staff is very friendly, teacher was encouraging, and partnered exercises really helped me push my limits in a comfortable environment. Will definitely keep coming back for more!

Massive variety of classes, including well known folk you'll recognise from other London dance studios. Classes are often 90 minutes (at cheaper prices!), so you get more of a chance to learn the choreo. People pay before class (no door fee, just class fee) so teachers don't have to stop teaching to collect money from people. They've just opened and still working a few things out (need benches in the change rooms, mirrors getting a bit misty so staff wipe them down) but staff are super helpful.

I got to discover the depth of Flamenco with Ollie, a truly inspiring teacher who succeeds in making you get a firm hold on the music and the necessary feeling behind it. Olé.

I cannot fault the experience I have had so far at Polepeople, it’s been fantastic! The staff are all so friendly and are so patient with beginners like me who sometimes need to be told how to do something endless amounts before it finally sinks in! Pole is such a fun thing to do especially when you do it as a group, and amazing exercise without actually feeling like your do a workout. I’m definitely signing up for the intermediate course and can not wait! I recommend anyone interested to give it a go, you won’t regret it.
